Clean Outer Filter/Carbon?.

Hi all,

I checked around the web, but could not find an answer for this:

There are outer garment white filters which cover the carbon portion, and are easily removed.

Mine is full of dust, can they simply be washed in a sink full of soapy water and hung dry. Or are these not supposed to be washed at all?.

hey bro you should be fine. they are only pre filters so the cleaner you keep them the easier air can pass through them

Yes, you cN wash it. but I would bang it around to remove the dust. Wet dust doesn't come out easily...

Hit it from the outside with a shopvac (hepa filter installed lol).

You should be fine with the method you suggested. otherwise you could always grab a couple rolls of carbon prefilter on amazon or ebay fairly cheap. Just cut to size and tie them or tape them around your carbon filter. 5 bucks gets like 15 square feet of carbon prefilter.
