I can tell you this about any composted soil..bagged or not, and this includes the landfill compost. You can and will contract mersa and other known bacterial infections from them. How do I know you ask? I got mersa from digging in soil with my bare hands and let me tell you it's no fun. I actually had to go to ER to have a boil lanced, because it was a deep fiberous one that I couldn't deal with myself.

So on that note...NEVER EVER work with soil with your bare hands...PLEASE spare yourselves the pain and agony...I'll step down from my soap box now...lol

mine was fatter till i drowned her almost . the ww seeds was from a friend. im not 100 sure its ww dank says he thinks it is and we will know for sure when the buds get fat. the compost from landfill i use it outside in flower garden. not in a garden i eat out of. you are right who knows whats in it. but for flowers they love it. its easy to make compost from your yard take grass clippings and pile them add you veg food scraps to it and cofee grounds egg shells and stir it with a pitch fork every few days in a few months fresh soil that you know was in it. also bad veggies you wont eat toss in it. i would use that for my plants inside and food veggies i grow. ill take better pics of them all when i put in new light. back to bed cya in am

EDit; oh yeah MD those leaves are not so small the blueberry is right at 4' tall the WW is 5'4" tall( i super cropped her at 42 inches) the ladies are big i have to stand back 5 feet to get the blueberry in lol the picture.

Lol...no worries J I'm the kind of person that does her nails before going for a manicure  I don't mind work...but I like my hands to remain CLEAN
As far as the MRSA goes...sorry you had to deal with that, it's a nasty infection :???: But MRSA can be found EVERYWHERE...the gym, shopping cart at the grocery store, doorknobs...etc. Even on your skin  Proper and frequent hand washing is your only defense...

Im not knocking compost AT ALL...this is what I use: http://www.farmerd.com/product/farmer_d_compost_16qt/holiday_gifts
My concern is that the landfill most likely isn't very picky about what goes into the compost...soiled diapers :???: rotten meat :???: I don't think those kind of proteins are compost friendly...if I don't want to eat it I certainly don't want to smoke it...

I see your plants are quite tall...I was actually talking about the size of your leaf blades :)

around here people take tree trimmings/grass clipping and leaves and the land fill has an area you drop your load at then they have big machines to pile it up and then another that goes over it and chops it up supper fine. that machine goes over it weekly. I know allot who use it in there food gardens for years. I just like to know what's in my soil. with diff ferts/weed killer ect which breaks down in compost but still leaves trace's behind. Every flower bed ive used it in grows great. i also go to the pile that has been there from last season so its just like top soil.

I'm just asking because the ones I just harvested were very Indica dominant with super fat leaves...the one I have flowering is very Sativa dominant with long skinny leaves...just curious what strain of white widow it was :)

they do the same thing here other than chopping it.... they sort sticks and grass.... burn the sticks ............ they wont sell a spade full......

The land fill here has an area for yard waste that gets turned into compost. I have seen what people dump in the pile and decided to build my own compost bin in the corner of the garden. Maple leaf's, grass clippings, left over veggies and all of my grow trim, branches and root balls get tossed in there! It will get used out doors but not indoors. I don't want the bugs in my room!

Lol its not in same area as the garbage. ours has several area's one is for paint/light bulbs batteries. another has appliances/tv's ect. then we have our compost area and 1 block or so away is the garbage part. we even have a tree company who grind up and make mulch piles we can go pick up for free. I live in farm country. when they make a road better its so the tractors can fit on it lol.

Very NICE!! I knew that air injection would really show good signs during flowering.. ;) I love using/doing air injection grows, just wished I had more air pumps. lol i need to get me some new air lines, and I should be able to push at least 5 with air injection myself.. Sure wished you would be able to join in the new side by side grow though.. ;(https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/768184-dank-other-growers-side-side.html was thinking you would you would put that new system that's coming to use.. ;) it's all good though if you cant I understand.. ;)

Dank i got the biggest fish pump they had at petco its for a 300 gallon tank. it has 4 outputs. i use each output to feed air into 4 plants. so i can do 16 plants. the only diff i gonna start doing is using 1 air-stone in each big bucket. i want one that isnt super free flowing. or i may get a pond air pump run pvc with t-valves so i can adjust air then i could do 30 plants easy. yeah they work great in veg also if you dont have plugged airlines lmao. this is a test grow to figure out my system an lights. i like the hps and led. you all know im getting a 600 hps. then ill get 2 700 watt 350 actual watt led's. one for each side of the 600. once i have them ill order a tent 4x8x8 or 5x5x8 and move all in there then order 2 more led. each corner will be led with hps in the middle. Ill adjust them so hps/ed over lap each other a bit. that is my goal to have for this winter. after i have 5 harvests or more first.
