I was really excited to get my new space up and running and start a journal on this site.

There is a lot of great information and people here to help.

I can't tell anyone what I'm doing. Well I could but that wouldn't be a good idea. I need my medicine, and more importantly my freedom!

That's why this site appealed to me. I could talk to other growers, share pictures, and get/give help.

I know I'm new but I'm not feeling the love, and I actually see a lot of arguing and bickering about stupid stuff!

I thought I might connect with a few people on here but I don't feel very welcome.

Maybe someone can restore my faith in this site(and people in general).

I felt like a loner growing before, not being able to share my secret, now amongst fellow greenthumbs I feel almost the same way.

If you know your shit, then take the time to browse through the newbie section and help someone out!

I hear ya but try to understand.
There are only so many ways to answer the same questions over and over and not go nuts.
We do try though.
During the breaks we blow off steam.

In my case if I see the word auto in the post it precludes me as I have zero experience.
Same for dwc and a bunch of other stuff.
I try to stick to what I know, or kind of know.

Its about reading, posting and reading some more while wait for the right people to find your thread.

there is a lot of bickering that goes on, mostly over the same stupid subjects that come up here every single freaking day. Flushing-defoliating and shit like it are hot button topics, and you can see it coming.

I would make a sticky thread on its own and ban it everywhere else.

Hmm...Welcome to rollitup squid. I am sorry you haven't felt that welcomed. sometimes its just that way here. Sometimes people think they will come on here and find their best friend in growing and will meet wonderful people. While Im not saying that this doesn't happen, its rare, and if it does, it takes more than a few week, monthes or sometimes even years. I joined Rollitup.org sometime in 2007-2008 when the site was almost new and probably didnt have 5,000 members...today i think we have almost a half a million (i think, dont hold me to it.) in all the time ive been here, I have made some incredible friendships and bonds with people, but it didnt happen overnight. It takes times for trust, and a bond, to build. Try to give it a little while and see how it goes. Update your journal often, post on others threads often, ask for help if you need it, via thread or PM (private message), and most importanly, if someone needs help and you know how to, give them a hand. Its a give and take thing here and sometimes it seems to take more than it gives but it will even out, I promise. I hope the next chapter here for you is better, it will get more and more fun as time goes on, I guarentee it, mens warehouse style
