@ natro I dig the vert vpar. It does put out nor heat though. I guess because its open on both sides. On hot days lately. I turn it off leaving the pontoon on. a/c cools everything down. The reg 420 combos seem to put out less heat. When I did hid. The higher the light. The less heat was felt. Maybe if I raise the vpar more it would seem cooler.

I've looked at those Cree A21's, they look pretty tempting - the reason I added the CFL's was to increase my temperatures so there is no way that I will be removing them unless I can find a suitable replacement.

wow nice find. humm i think 8 of them at 65 watt over 2 plants wow. I will have to test them. my only conern is they have 2700k which is great in flower then the 5000k I tested my plants they didnt like the 5000k at all. they love 4100k 3000k 2700k and 6500k the 5000k they turned thier fan leaves away from them. already tested the spectrum of K.

Ouch well ill watch his grow. for nwo im set on led and hps. im thinking i can buy 3 180 watt ufo for the price of 1 kessil 350 and so far my 180 watt ufo is rocking it. let alone 3 of them. 1 180 watt ufo has same par value as 1 350 kessil. cost of 180 watt ufo i paid $95 includes shipping. if i order 4 they are $70 each. so i have to see the grow

I turned on the H150 Reds and nearly went blind! Those fuckers are bright and they are very red!

You will be very surprised by the intensity of a Kessil light. Not like any other LED light I have seen.

And my H350s were each about $285 at the hydro store. They are cheaper on the web site I linked.

yeah those reds sure change the color. I cant wait to see the buds when they are done with those lights. My 3 plants under hps have little flowers now. no pics yet but will later today.

do you have the dual arc hortilux bulb? they have more spectrum. Im doing led and hps test so ill know in 6 weeks or so when they all harvest and then 2 weeks after they dry and get a little cure in them. so 2 months more for all but i have the 1 WW that should be ready and dry in 6 weeks.

My biggest reason for going LED was heat. I have one small fan cooling 1300 watts equivalent of light. It is nice and warm in there but not hot. My electricity is expensive. When we moved in I changed out all of the incandescent bulbs to CFL and cut our electric bill in half. Then they doubled the rates. I keep finding ways to cut electricity use. After I have everything dialed in I will get solar panels to offset my usage.

One H350 magenta was bright and it seemed to do a great job until flower (root rot is why). When I added the second H350 deep purple it was like magic. The plants exploded with growth. With all of the watts and spectrum I have now I think I can pull of a nice indoor girl.

The Blue Dream was looking bad last night. I need to go move the girls outside and see if she perked back up.

I have to agree the red is a cool light and intense. I cant see using it though, until I flower in a few weeks. I will also use it on some tomatoes I am vegging. I dont see why folks gotta hate on Kessil so bad. All I hear is price, price, price. Or I hear wattage is low. But I laugh cause all the naysayers usually dont even have a Kessil. My thoughts are this: LED in itself is expensive, Kessil is more expensive than some cheaper Led's. Kessil is also HIGHER quality than allot of higher wattage LEd's. Case in Point....My first Led was a 135 Ufo, it was keeping my bubblicious healthy and growing. When I upgraded to the Kessil that plant took off through the roof! Both Lights kept the plant growing well, but the Kessil H350 was more intense at 90 watts than the 135 watt UFO, with better penetration too! So laugh and say an H150 is nothing but 30 watts, but you get the quality of a hundred watt or better light. once again you get what you pay for. Glad to see Mohicans grow primarily because it is all Kessil like my own. I dont really care about grows using a 600 watt HPS and a few kessils, because We all Know HPS and MH are cheap and proven producers!

Thanks for the support SnP! When I saw that their LEDs were successfully growing coral in aquariums for years I knew they had something special.

The Blue Dream looked fine this morning so I think she was just displaying sativa night droop. I fed them all today and now my room smells like the Redondo Pier! The only thing that is missing is the creosote smell :)

Funny thing happened when I fed them. Either a giant moth was on my cart, on my watering can or in the plants because it flew away when I started watering. I need to make the rounds with the BT and knock out all of the caterpillars.

I know! They love it in there. I also gave them some fish, micro nutes, and CalMag two days ago. Cab smelled like a pier for two days!

yeah im gonna get fish scraps this year from all the fishermen that i fix there boats. tell them i want them in a bag ill freeze them till i am ready to compost them to make a super tea. fish is a great source of amino's. hey you are on the coast when you buy your fish make sure it is tested. those fuckers in japan is ruining our ocean.
