not bad but they are hungry bro. they want a double cheeseburger with onion rings. way to yellow. feed them again make up a 16 oz feed mix and give it to them right away in am or tonight if you can. this is what i would feed them 1/4 veg 1/4 bloom.

its soil as long as it goes in between 6 and 7 its all good. they are hungry. they need food. also you can start building a base of calcium. mag isnt as much but doesnt hurt.

They seem really young for nutrient deficiencies when using soil. My first thought is do you check the PH of your water? It could be you locked out some nutrients with water that is way off on PH. I have not had to feed until I get to the final pot, there is usually enough in the soil to keep them going just from the transplants.

I would check the PH of your water, shoot for around 6.5-6.8 for soil. If you are within that range, you can do an EWC tea with some unsoldered blackstrap molasses and bubble that for awhile. The microbes will keep your soil healthy and promote great uptake from your plant.

Your first set of leaves will usually die pretty easy, pretty normal.

subbed right up, lookin good man, im growin with cfls too.. and i just recently started nutes, kinda nervous but first time i fed mine i gave 1/2 strength and this time 3/4 so i got my fingers crossed. i think our plants are pretty close in age too, keep it up;/

i do this let it get 2 nodes feed 1/4 til it has 5 nodes then feed 1/2 then go 3/4 when its 8-9 nodes. but i feed 2 times a day with AIS system.

if you are not getting tip burn then keep on trucking. i do adjust mine and test. tip brun means 15% to much. ais means air injection soil.

okay AIS is HYDRO for SOIL. its wet all the time and air is injected to the roots. mine has lava rock and air line on the bottom 1/5 of pot. lava rock is big it has micro nutrients as it breaks down. but its main purpuse is to allow water and h2o to be forced up into soil.

i guess im alright then on tha nutes and thats some cool shit;/ i've heard of a ton of diff grow methods but never that, and you just put your nutes in the water then and let it be pumped to tha soil?

I mixed up two gallons of feed. One gallon for sprouts and one for my two older plants. Fed a little over a half gallon of each evenly.

Sprouts:
1tbs molasses
1/2 tbs cal/mag
6ML of veg nutes

O plants:
1 tbs molasses
1 tbs cal/mag
10 ML of veg nutes

I also mixed a spray of small cal/mag, veg, and flower nutes about 3 days ago. Usually do a small mist every 1-3 days to promote humidity and foliar intake.

My first few doses of nutes were SMALL.. I've read less is better and to let the plant tell you what it needs. We're talking 2.5ML & 6ML. This time I really wanted to get them nutes which is why I went with 10.. recommended was 20. I did notice small nute burns on the older plants before I fed them last night.

Quick question though.. As I'm watering I'm noticing my soil level beginning to drop. Runoff and settling obviously and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna add more soil to it to restore it's original level. Couldn't see why this would be bad but I did want input from you dco before I did it. You are my mentor and all lol.

Thanks for keeping up and helping me! I forgot where you said you were from??

☆☆☆ Edit: I did use 2 cups of tap water to mix the molasses. The water was very hot to help breakdown and mix the molasses.

yes start small but it depends on how fast they grow. the more intense your lights the faster they will grow. so give them what they will use and learn your strains. some wont more than other of diff stuff. i would also suggest not over doing mag. calcium is easy take egg shells and slow boil them for 2 min and rinse let dry then use coffee grinder and grind them up. now you have pure calcium. add 1/8-1/4 tsp to your feed mix. mag you want to use 1 time when young then again every 3 weeks till they start showing flowers. your molasses use it every watering but cut the amount in half till they double in size. look on your jar of molasses what doe sit have in it and what percent? here is mine. i only use powder version of cal+mag 1 time till it can start breaking down the molasses which is cal mag and a few other things.

I added calmag because the plants were showing signs of progressive deficiency. I wanted to add it in to provide them what they needed until the molasses had been broken down. The nutes recommend supplementing 1 tbsp of it with each feeding.

Also as far as the lights I'm trying to resist upping them to full output until I initiate flowering unless you find it necessary? I'd hate to rig some cfls back up but I can do that as well.

As often as I check on these things I don't see growth to where I'm shocked. (Excluding my little oldest plant, this week she finally grew more and I was quite pleased!!) Looking back from my weekly posts comparing to the current sizes I am seeing some growth. I feel like they should be bigger but also think they are victims of not starting them in smaller pots. But you learn as you go so it's definitely something I'll experiment next go around.

1 problem I did make and don't have a solution for is 1 of my older plants is an auto. . I'm not sure which but noob mistake on me. I was running low on my white widow seeds and didn't wanna run out so I tossed an auto free bee in germination.

My attitude order came in the other day(still never received my herbies order). Man am I ready to start some of these seeds though.. A lot are just popular hype strains but that's what people in my neck of the woods pay big for. I.e. people pay 600 a zip for crops grown hydro because they "swear" it's better than soil..

yes for bigger plants say 30 days old for the younger ones cut it in half. i have always used molasses even on my outdoor grows. i would water/feed them 2 times a week outdoors 1 gallon per plant outdoors till they got bigger then 2 gallons. i would soak the soil around each plant 2ftx2ft.

I added calmag because the plants were showing signs of progressive deficiency. I wanted to add it in to provide them what they needed until the molasses had been broken down. The nutes recommend supplementing 1 tbsp of it with each feeding.

nothing wrong with big pots from get go. just feed them. once roots get set they will take off like mad. and auto in big pot is perfect form seed. you will not regret the big pots trust me. lst/mainline and top/fim the ladies. have fun and grow bushes. the auto just lst by laying her over like this.
c99 lst.jpg this will give her more tops and you will get more yield.

I forgot to mention I don't know which one is the auto!.. and the big pots aren't a huge regret it just took longer to see growth on top because roots were filling a bigger pot. Which is why I'm just now seeing substantial growth-

hey have fun top them. and you will know which one is auto at around 21-24 days she will start to flower. see most people get too serious with there plants. they are weeds and to learn you must experiment so have fun. enjoy your plants and if it gets nice outside and you can give them some real sun do it. like me i cant neighbors to close.

Node = spot where leaf/ branch is forming so if it says wait till 6th node that means the 6th leaf on top then if it says cut above the 2nd node that means cut the main stem above the 2nd set of leaves correct?

Question:

why are yo guys telling him to keep feeding it? He already killed a few like this, and it's obvious that seedling needs help and not from nutes. IMHO no nutes should be given before third leaf set starts..
