Hey guys. hows it going? I have just set up my new 4x4 grow tent. I am using a 1000 watt metal halide for vegging. these plants are twenty six days old. My medium is coco and I am using the dyna gro line of nutrients and supplementing my RO water with cal mag. I have 4 sour blueberry and 5 blue dream. I plan on vegging these out for 5 more weeks. I will then install another 4x4 tent and flower 5 in this tent and 4 in the other one using 1000 watt high pressure sodium bulbs on opposite schedules. I have the plants on a drip system with a 15 gallon reservoir. Comments and suggestions greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Thinking about defoliation of those large fan leaves. I will supercrop in two weeks.

I will never grow in bags again. I feel like when i have to move the plants i could be messing up the roots or shocking them or both. i prefer the sturdiness of pots and buckets. i will keep u updated

Hello. Thanks for the inspiration ! I have removed some of the lower leaves to get a more tree like structure on most of the plants and i supercropped the largest of the sour blueberries. Here are some pics.

Everything seems to be growing much quicker now. I had to lower the ppms a bit because i saw just a little bit of nutrient burn on the tips of the some leaves on a couple of the plants. Here are some pics . I will be switching to flowering mode in about 3 weeks.

heres a full view of the tent

Flip em man, and start thinking about the next one...there perfect size ...
i am actually gonna veg them for three more weeks. then i gonna set up another 4 x 4 tent and and keep the four largest ones in this one and put the five smaller ones in the other tent. But you are right if i wanted to keep them all in this tent now would be the perfect time to flip the lights.

factor in a hps light is only good for 3.5 feet below it and at the very least you will need a foot of airspace between light and plant, that only gives you 2ft of really good strong lumens......

just saying....fuck the popcorn....

I don't mind a little popcorn bud, but I like to use it for budder. Plus, I just have the hardest time forcing myself to do extensive defoliating below, I usually do just enough to keep good airflow, knowing really only the top 18" or so is going to get me the nice dense buds for smoking (400w HPS)

how much do you think they will stretch when i switch to flowering? the tallest plant is only 12 inches tall and the one in the back left is barely 6 inches. i was thinking the larger four plants should be at least 18 inches before i flip the lights.

You could top the taller one to let the shorter catch up and flip when all at 12". Should give you more tops also.

Here are some pictures. They have grown so quickly since i started this thread one week ago. I just topped the 4 larger ones and super cropped the one in the center(right under the light) and the one on the right of it. The stems broke so i had to duct tape them. This was yesterday and the branches i supercropped are still alive so i am pretty sure they will make a full recovery in a week of so. I was going to wait three weeks before flowering but since they are growing so quickly the 4 larger ones will go into flowering in about a week. I am going to vent the exhaust from both tents into my dryer duct. It is only 4 inches wide but it is the only way i can do it. spring is coming and i worried about heat issues. I could also cut a hole in door right next to the tents and vent the exhaust into that room but i am worried about mold forming in that room. what do you guys think??

Your girls are looking awesome,.

What is your humidity? You may be able to keep the heat dowm with a4" vent, but it was a problem for me. I use a dampener on the exhaust for sound, which also helps with the smell and never had problems with mold from the exhaust

my humidity is really low right now because it still winter here. it will definitely go up in the months to come. this is why i am worried. i just did some supercropping. check it out. i just beat down these aliens haha. hope they recover quick hehe

Hey dude if you have 25 bucks laying around you can buy a small humidifier from wal-mart/meijer which literally keeps my tent between 35-50 percent under 1000w

i have actually been foliar feeding them with my nutrient solution using a spray bottle.. that helps to boost the humidity levels a bit. i dont find humidity to be too important during veg but if it is too high during flower u can get bud rot. it just happened to my buddy. he lost half his harvest because of it
