i'm not a fan of the 65's personally, that's the year they really changed the body styles to more boxy..

Here's a question for you grease monkeys. When people have their trucks raised, can they be easily adjusted and lowered? Or is it a static height adjustment. I'm looking for a truck and alot around here are excessively raised which I don't particularly like.

Honestly i think it will come down to what truck it is and HOW its been lifted, adjustable set ups are normally more expensive than static ones so it depends on the way its been done originally

Cool thanks, I was kind of thinking that's what the deal was. So when I call and inquire about the truck, I should just be like, hey is the height adjustable on the truck because my penis is rather large and I don't need to overcompensate like you did?

^ hahahahahahahahahahahahha

but yeah it'd come down to what the bloke before you has done or if its factory, in which case it would be static.. Could be different over here?

lol, so very true neo, but like has been said already, they do make adjustable shocks and or airbags for cars and trucks now, but adjustable coilovers aren't usually used to raise or lower a truck for the most part it's for performance, dial it in for track use, and loosen it up for road use again..
bags run on compressed air, and raising and lowering a car is as easy as flicking a switch, the compressor kicks on, or the air is drawn from a reserve tank, and the bags either go up or down as a result... bags are pretty pricey though..
i think most trucks are lifted via blocks in the suspension, which i'm not really a fan of as it kills the engineering of the og stock set up.. you can also get lifted or dropped spindles for cars, which might give you about 2 inches up or down, and again, not really a fan of dropped spindles either for the same reasons as above..

Also if you are not sure if it is original equipment or not if you take the chassis/engine number into a main dealership they can actually pull up the build spec sheet from when the vehicle was manufactured which will tell you every single option of everything fitted at the factory originally, depending on the dealership they may have to contact the factory/head office which can take a few days but most MAIN dealers can tell you themselves

4 wrench question: My wife's '07 Civic is making some strange sounds from the fornt end, like wound up springs. It happens mostly at acceleration and just before stopping, a lot when turning. Sometimes it makes the sound, others times, nothing. Sometimes it is a light ting, other times a loud clang. I just jacked it up to see if something was stuck in the CVs or wheels and saw nothing. When I spun the tires it did it on both sides. I'm guessing something in the diff. Ideas?
