Fortune compiled a list of the worlds best leaders.

Pope Francis was first, and German Chancelor Merkel was number two.

Probably would have been my two picks had I given it thought prior to reading theirs.

What was interesting to me is Obama was not on the list, with his lead from behind philosophy.

Can you imagine a similar list compiled in 2008 or 9 without Obama in the top spot? My oh my how his reputation around the world has fallen since we got to actually learn about him.

I think without doubt the new pope should be number one. He has started leading the church of Rome down a modern path, which might save it's future in Europe.

I picked Merkel because she is leading the strongest economy in Europe. Really no other reason.

Leaders is not the term I would use. People that "lead" thru coercive tactics should be properly referred to as overseers or masters.

People that lead in fact, have people follow their ideas rather than their crown, their title or their gun.

Not only is misunderestimated not a word, but it is a double negative. Therefore George Bush should be double embarrassed for this quotation.

“I just want you to know that when we are talking about war, we’re really talking about peace” said in Washington D.C. June 2002. Really, what kind of backwards logic is that? Apparently foreign disputes and people dying is part of peace. George W. Bush should be embarrassed by this quote as well.

Yeah, Bush misspoke some. He had a tendency to "makeup" words. People criticize him for making up words. So what? How did the English language (or any other language) get here? When man evolved and made it to the British Isles were there scrolls of words there that was to be the English language?

I don't think the "misundestimated" is a misspoken word. They under estimated him, and were wrong about it. I think language can be used as a tool to get a point across. A lot of what bush said, if you take a second look at it, add context and a weird sense of humor to it, might be considered witty.

Even if that isn't the case, so what? I guess you, and anybody you admire has ever made an error in speech. Obama has made many, there is even a thread on this forum about him misspelling the word "r(e)spect." He was speaking at a Mo-town themed function to boot, about a song, "r-e-s-p-e-c-t... Find out what it means to me."

I remember the non stop bashing of Dan Quayle, and still hear about it to this day how he misspelled "potato(e)" he added the e. Obama forgot the e. Yet it was hardly mentioned.

Bush has had a very successful life, and if you study it, you would see he did not ride on his fathers coat tails, at least no where near as much as someone could have, to achieve what he did. There is no way that W. is a dumb person.
