So if Obama is Elected...

... taxes will most assuredly increase, agreed? That got me thinking about my men. Many of my techs are already living on the edge. One of my techs already either has to find a place to stay up here or sleep in the Service Center at night because gasoline prices are killing. I've got another tech that had his propane shut off for months because propane prices are skyrocketing. How are my guys going to survive if the government takes even more from them and they're already teetering on the edge? These guys have families. They have children. I'm afraid I'm going to lose techs not because of a layoff, but simply because they'll not be able to afford high prices and increased taxation coupled with having to commute (high gasoline prices).

Neither candidate seems to be talking about cutting spending from the Federal Gov't and McCain even voted in favor of increasing the Federal deficit to 9 trillion dollars last year.

Ok, so what can anyone do?!? NOTHING....

Even if the public found out either candidate had a secret plan to blow on the US... HE WILL STILL BE PRESIDENT. half of the US dont even know about the constitution...

Not enough people care to choose the right candidate.

We are all suffering.

I know what I'm going to do...I'm going to vote for Ron Paul. I'm doing what I can to help my men on a more localized scale by letting them take their company vehicle home when they end their day and they happen to be close to their home. I can't do it all the time of course. It's not much, but they appreciate it when I can authorize it.

So if Obama is Elected...
that's just the socialist agenda in action, the wet dream of the liberal leadership. millions taxed into oblivion and forced to suckle at the government's withered teat. the middle class is a blight to those who crave control, it is capable of controlling its own destiny and that's something the powerful just can't abide. political animals may form some sort of symbiotic relationship with the rich and the poor are already well under control, but those who have managed some small measure of success are a danger to the well being of the state. just wait a while and we'll all get used to that comfortable poverty they're trying to shove down our throats.

And did they get you to trade
Your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?

It's not just the war. It's ALL the government spending. Obama is already waffling on the withdrawal from Iraq. He's spoken from Day One about increasing the military (more spending and furthermore....why the need to increase the military if we no longer need to occupy Iraq? Iran maybe?). Healthcare for everyone, subsidies to farmers earning over $250,000 dollars...Spend, spend spend...You're right...but it's not only the war. Prices are high right now and they will not magically decrease with the Messiah getting elected. We already know that he will increase taxes to pay for all these programs and that will push my men into poverty. So much so that they may not be able to afford to even drive to work.

"Obama is already waffling on the withdrawal from Iraq."

explain to me how he waffled?
First explain to me why he feels it necessary to increase the size of our military if he's intent upon withdrawing from Iraq. What's the need to increase our military by 100,000 troops if he's intent upon withdrawing 100,000 troops out of Iraq?

From what I have learned from his website. his point in increasing the military is, we have learned from this war in Iraq that the U.S does not have enough troops to sustain a war (even though it was an unjust war, we can still learn from it)......he's not saying he is going to use those increased forces offensively, he wants America to ready for unexpected events that might occur during his time in office

Like WMD's in Iran? If we want war, we've got bombs that we can deliver to any location on the globe...If we want occupation, we need troops. We can project power anywhere in the world with our Navy and Air Force. We need ground troops to occupy. His "Blueprint for America" states he's intent on increasing the Army and Marines...Ground troops. He's also NOT saying that he won't use the buildup in military might offensively. He voted in favor of funding this last War Bill.....that DID NOT INCLUDE A TIMELINE ONCE AGAIN. Doesn't this say something to you? It does me.

I suppose I could tell them to suck it up and take one for the Gipper. food and gas for their family is overrated when it comes to growing the military (for our security of course) and illegal immigrants need food stamps and healthcare. Sorry Bong...my men are hurting badly and they work hard. They were out chasing dial tone for customers in 108 degree weather all day today and they're worried if they can put food on the table or put gas in their cars. More taxation will kill them. I see it as a problem when Congress is getting catered lunches, having bridges built with their name on it, and passing legislation to give their money to farmers earning $250,000/year in profit. I see a real problem and neither candidate is talking about putting the skids on decreasing spending. Do you HONESTLY believe that Obama, or McCain for that matter, would veto a spending bill presented to them by Congress?

well I don't know..are you...you must be...you have a nice motorcycle and high-maintainance wife...
ROTFLMAO!!!! Well there you have it folks! Convoluted logic at its best. I have a nice motorcycle and a high-MAINTENANCE wife.

Tell me Bong. How do you arrive at your conclusion and why are you, like Med, drawing my woman into the conversation between you and I? And I'm especially looking forward to your explanation as to why you referred to Seamaiden as a "high-maintEnance" wife. Perhaps I should leave it at that and smile smugly as she rips you to shreds. ;)

Check the presidents from the past. All Democratic Presidents believe in a LARGE military and send them nowhere. While on the other hand, the Republican Presidents believe in a SMALLER military and send them everywhere.
I wouldn't worry about your employees taxes being raised too much. From a speech Obama gave on 7/7/08 he said he was going to raise company taxes from 35% to 41% and take away all of their tax loopholes to pay for most of his programs. If you own the company, then I would start worrying about tax increases. Which if he does this, most large companies will take it out on American workers by laying them off and outsourcing the jobs overseas. This way they can keep the money that Obama will try and take from them.
