My first grow! 600w LED Scrog Jamaican Pearl Sativa

Hey guys,

I'm currently growing 2 Jamaican Pearl Sativas in a little closet room I have where I live. At first I wanted to grow more each time but since I'm unexperienced I've decided to experiment to get to know this strain and also be able to emphazise that it's for personal use if Mr. Po-po knocks on my door. The idea is to move them to another location in a couple of months.

So I tried to get 4 plants going at first and it went pretty well until I went out and had a little too much fun on the town, I didn't come home for 3 nights so my plants were more dried up than my grandma. After this happened I lost some confidence so I didn't take as many photos as I did in the beginning. So the photos will show the plants from 2 weeks after the seeds have sprouted.

Anyway, I rebuilt the "room" a little by making shelves. I started by making 3 of them but realized I needed more height, so I settled for 2 stations with 1 300w LED in each. The smaller space is for veg, I will tie down branches and turn it into a bush and scrog it once I put it in flowering mode (top shelf).

I try to get things going at first with the material I have around the house. Here's the net I intend to use as the screen. It's 90x65cm and has 70 even holes. My hopes are that I will be able to get one bud out of each but we'll see.

And here's my idea of the room at the moment. It's crazy bright when the lights are turned on. It fucks my color vision for a while after I've been in the room. My living room lightning looks all green for a minute or two after I've worked with these babies.

Here's the biggest one. I put the seed in soil one day before the other one. Her name is Jasmine. As you can see I've tied her down heavily but she didn't need more than a day of rest before she continued her growth. I noticed that she became MUCH bushier when I tied the top. The branch was really thick at the time so she didn't break but the branch looks really "strangled". Notice that the first and the second photo is only 3 days apart and it includes the chock time for the plant when I tied down the top.

Here's the smaller one. Her name is Grace. Also tied down to see if I could get better control of the height and width. I'm not an expert but they look really healthy. All I'm using is cheap regular soil and tap water. Now I've started to use some veg nutrition on them 1-2 times per week. I don't want to try and play god, they look like they're having a good life anyway. But I figure these babies likes to party so I give them a shot now and then.

If you have any ideas on how to make this grow better just hoolllaaaaaa! Peace

Okay so I just noticed that I have some bugs or something on one of my plants! The are tiny holes in the middle or the leaves and some edges are just 'cut' out. What the fuck do I do now? Suggestions are appreciated!!

Hey flyhi, thanks!

2. I'm not sure actually! I just went to my local flower shop and they handed me some cheap flower soil in a transparent plastic bag. It looks like regual flower soil.

3. It's called Bio Bact. It says it's organic plant nutrition for house plants/pot plants. It includes Humus and "living microorganisms". "The nutrition gives healthier plants with richer flowers".

4. I haven't looked this up at all. How do I do it?

5. I'm thinking about dressing the room in some kind of plastic and keep it clean by just showering it once per week.

Thanks for your input man, really appreciate it

Search the site for information about the ph of water and what ph these plants need. Get some sort of ph tester. The cheap drops work great. You would also want to check the ppm (or tds) of the water. Digital meters to check these things make life easier but are $10-$25 each for the basic ones.

If its local from a flower shop and it was in a clear bag, it can either be top soil, or potting soil, which isnt bad at all.

no need to ph,

what i would do is cut the feeding in a quarter of what ur currently doing, then work ur way to half,

other then that, add premium compost and worm casting to your mix, top dress is ok.

Check ur water by going to ur city water website, all info should b there, if ur near a large city, prob have hard water, what u would do is get a 5 gallon, let it sit outside and or add air for 24 hrs and go ahead and use that water,

Cant stress on the compst and worm shit, and cant stress enough on not over doing it with bottle nutes.

Thanks! I will check this out and get some more equipment tomorrow. I need to do something about the smell aswell but I think I got that covered.

Thanks for the info man. Hopefully the soil works. For the next grow I'm maybe gonna check out hydroponics. But I need to learn more first.

I thought since it was organic that it would be nice. But maybe it's not to recommend with bottle nuts?

Where do I get compost and such things?

You are supposed to add ph up or ph down to get within the desired level.
Also, when you add nutes to your water it changes the ph, so check ph after adding nutes.
Thanks for the info dude. What are the risks of not changing the water now?

Skip the hydroponics,
skip the PHing
skip the bottle nutes
grow organic
source ur own compost or ur own worm castings super sinple to start and its free,

everything u need to know is here to grow the best dank for the least amount of money

Thanks man, I'll check that link out. Have you compared the different setups of growing vegan and growing with nuts and stuff?

Yes i have,

done the coco for years
some hydro

organic is superior in quality and can equal whatever hydroponic can yield.

You seem like a dude who knows what he's talking about.

So you would recommend organic over anything else? What's the perks of hydro then?

Dont get me wrong, in sure theres dank hydro herb

just yet to try some that blew my mind like top notch organics.

Look into super soil if your lazy, just add water

or TLO which i think is like the hydro way of organic soil

Vegan organics

Or theres coco organics, u would grow with nothing but act or aact.

Theres also the fox farm way of growing, (that requires lots of money and trips to the hydro store whoch i dread)

Theres other types of organics like high brix growing ( not sure too much about it)

And theres ROLs or No-till, which is what im doing, i dont see myself trying any other way of growing.
