Yea my girls soak in all the light all day they have there arms raised lol everyday i can see the difference when i wake up. ima start a grow journal and just take pics everyday till flower. i have from day 1,day 3 and day 4 so far.

Cfl are a pain... unlessb ubget one or two 250w the amount of bulbs gets crazy

Too close to your light, move your light up and your leaves will straighten out

If they are 2-3 ichd they are about right depending on watts. Cfls never mover further unless they burn the plants. So long as a small breeze is kissing the canopy your fine. Dunno what u taking about bricksquid

and with the splitters and all that its a hassle everyday having to reposition the cfls ;/

My leds produce very little heat as well, i've noticed if the light is too close the leaves will point up, if I move it away, the leaves even out. Do what you want though. I believe it has to do with the light needing some distance for the spectrum to be spread out, but again I could be wrong
