CFL flowering...How Many CFLs

I've been vegging my plants for just over 5 weeks now (CFL) , i will veg them for another couple and then switch to flowering.

I have 4 plants, i presume they will be a about 14 inches tall when i start to flower.

Will 2 105-Watt Cool CFLs + 4 30-Watt Warm CFLs do the job? (Real Power consumption, not equiv)

Dude for 4 plants Id say use atleast 8-10 42w 2700k soft white cfls.

yea softwhite for flowering better spectrum and for veg its daylight bulbs.

i have 2 plants just starting to flower:

1x 27w @ 2700k
4x 27w @ 5500k
7x 42w @ 2700k

and i would still add more if i could

Go by the basic theory of 160watts per plant. Just remember to distribute the light evenly over the plants place the lamps as close as possible without burning them.

Thats more like it! And if you dont have to raise and/or adjust the lights EVERYDAY either your plant ain't growin or you ain't got the lights close enough! Best of luck!

yes they will prolly only yield about 3-10 grams ive flowered using 250 watts total of cfls got 5 grams off each plant lol more light or hps would be good during flowering but for veggin you should be all right

Dude for 4 plants Id say use atleast 8-10 42w 2700k soft white cfls.

Double that atleast for any bud at all...or else your looking at a few grams.

OR....you could do it right and get an HPS!!

Stick with the 160 watts/plant theory and distribute the light evenly.

agree with untold light placement is very important actually,and yes 2700k is the spectrum u want more of a yellowish/orange color the plants love during flowering.
Althought cfl's produce fluffy nug's don't be discouraged.
some people can produce great nugs with cfl's,trial and error my friend.
