Which Home Depot Crees?

Also I am not entirely convinced that they are Xb-e either. I have argued in the past that they are, however the Xb-g, is pretty good replacement for the Xt-e and is similar in pricing to the xb-e.......food for thought.

I have photos of all the diodes under the glass except for the 13w's in my albums.

You were right, not XT-E. I thought the heat sink was way larger like on the BR30 or the TW series but it's only slightly larger than the old ones.
The spectral graphs for xt-e,xb-e and the xb-g all look the same and the differences are probably mainly efficiency.
Has anybody tried a side by side between the old and new version?

Sweet! Glad you found out.....what is interesting is that the 13w's are supposed to be just overdriven equivalents of the 9.5watt versions and the heatsinks are the same size, makes you go hmmm....?

Wish a side by side could be done, I had to mix, only have one of the 9.5w WW's and one of the 6w's that I found later and bought. I always look too, whenever I go to HD, I dig thru the entire displays, hopeful I will find the hallowed Xt, but I have been dissappointed lately :)

Got me curious so I took some readings comparing the old warm white 2700k 9.5 watt vs the new soft white 2700k 9.5 watt.
Kill a watt meter on the old warm white flashed between 8 and 9.
Kill a watt meter on the new soft white read 8.
Meter doesn't have 10th's of a watt so it's probably very close.
Took umole readings on both from the side and almost identical, the new soft was 1 point lower at about 8"..
The graphs from cree look very close to the same so I'm guessing from this info that the new ones will also do a good job.

Old has 20 LED's and the new has 10.

Very nice Captain, glad you took the time to measure them. Were the umol rating's with the globes on or off? That is what I am curious about after ripping most of mine off.....and what were the rating's by chance, if you don't mind sharing or at least ballpark?

Turns out I already had 4 of the new ones and never noticed the difference.
I took 2 with globes on them to my local hydro shop,he has a meter that he'll let me use to measure things in the store.
I did just one reading from the side on each from around 8" away, bulb was in a lamp and held the meter against a wall so the readings would be accurate between the 2 but I didn't measure the exact distance.
The old model was 64 umoles and the new one was 63 umoles.
I wasn't trying to do readings from different distances, just wanted to compare the two.
Since I'm using them in tents, for fire safety I like to keep the globes on,I've had a couple come loose over time and put them back on with some high temp silicone.
