Wondering how long it will take my indica to start flowering?

This is literally my 1st time growing. I am growing from bag seed and I'm pretty sure it's an indica strain. It's exactly 24 days old I started flowering at 12/12 cycle at actually 19 days old. It's 9 inches tall. So it's been 5 days since I started flowering cycle. So how long would it usually take an indica to mature? Does my plant look healthy?

need a picture to answer your question, but 5 days isn't exactly deep into the flowering stage. particularly if you're under a cfl or something. load up a picture and give us the specs on your grow anyhow, but the answer is most likely, "patience, young grasshopper"

looks fine. time to upcan soon.
be easy,
:leaf:

EDIT: i forgot the original question was about flowering etc. you might want to transplant to your final container sooner rather than later, unless she's in her final home, in which case, she's gonna be a bigg'un for that pot--get ready for feeding.

Regardless of the light cycle you will have to wait until the plant is sexually mature to flower it, the plant is on its genetic time schedule for this, not photo period.

You can tell when the nodes alternate instead of being symmetrical.

Hope that helps.

Here is another picture. It's in it's final pot which I transplanted a day or so before switching to 12/12. So how will I know when the node start alternating? This plant has stretched 5 inches in 5 days since I started 12/12. Is that good? I also heard that when in flowering cycle a cannabis plant doesn't require as much watering then when in veg stage. I don't feed nutrients either I just use bottled water. I do use potting soil that is 0.21-0.7.0.14

is that tinfoil? Remove the tinfoil :P it reflects more heat than light + creates hotspots. Plain white works great and reflects around 90% light and is a much better option. Actually tinfoil is not good at all its only bad. as for when it starts flowering i dont think anyone can telll you more than the sexual maturaty fact (altering nodes) since its a bag seed. But its looks healthy so just keep doing what you do. You might noy need any nutes untill week 3 flowering, but since it looks like a indica dominant plant be sure to look for signs of deficiancys since it might eat a a lot of nutes.

Bless

See that new growth at the top?
How it has two nodes directly opposite 180 degrees from each other?
The nodes below are 90 degrees opposite the nodes above and below.
When it shows sex they should be alternating...........

Ok I see. So is It ok that I have changed it cycle to 12/12 7 days ago? Even only when it was 18 days old? Good thing or bad? Thanks for the post

Its fine. All you want to do
at this point is find ouf if its a boy or girl.
Plant looks good.

Here's the thing though, what if it is a girl and a very fine girl at that?

Wouldn't you want to replicate it? Bagseed is a crapshoot....even
femenized seeds are a crapshoot...some are more stable and uniform than
others(fem seeds from seedbanks).

That's why I always veg them up a bit so I can take multiple clones
in case I screw up the clones....just in case the dice fall right.

at 18 days it may take a few over a week of 12/12 to see the sex. give it 10-14 days then you should be able to tell and you can go ahead and still take a clone from the plant if you want to. i have cloned plants 5-6 weeks into flower before just takes a little time to reveg them. and the clone will grow a crapload of tops on its own when taken in flowering but that will go away with time or cloning it after it has reveg'd.

Do you think you've uploaded a picture?
Because I cannot see one.[/QUOTE]

Hahahaha, plant does look healthy though. Put it in a bigger pot :).
