Lighting of new seedling??

Finally 34 days later my beans arrive now I have them germinating my question is how old or big before they go under the 400w hps? And how far from plant when they first go under?

How long do you want to veg under the Mh lamp before you put them under a 400w HPS is your business but most veg for a month or more, you do have a Mh lamp...?

have vegged under both and never noticed any real difference...i put em under the 400w on day 1. i put my light as high as it will go in my tent about 3.5 ft above the plant.

What ever size HPS your using will limit the size you want to veg your plant too.
You have a 400Watt HPS your only gonna wanna go to 3' - 4' plant height.
unless you plan on having some side lighting.
