Hello everyone, busy weekend, besides a very long party (damn I'm getting old!), got some stuff done today... Cleaned up and re-lined the veg cabinet, had been meaning to do this before starting this run, looks much better, the ladies will be happy. The old reflective material was a quick & dirty job and needed a re-vamp. Used the same wall material I'm using in the new room, it's a styrofoam insulation called DuroFoam, meant for exterior/concrete walls, the one side is lined with essentially mylar and very reflective. I like it, it's easy to work with, provides insulation and great reflective properties.
All 4 are doing quite well. Will post today's pic beside Tuesday's pic just after they were transplanted at Day 20 for comparison, looks like they're liking their environment
Today is Day 25, transplanted them into these pots Day 20, fed them their first feeding/watering (still low at 300 ppm) yesterday, since transplanting them with plain water. Looks like around 4-5 day watering cycles. One thing with LED grows is watching the amount and frequency of waterings, more specifically watching not to over-water. Less heat from the LED's = less evaporation, longer between waterings. It's strain and cycle dependent but in general it's easy to over-water using LED's and takes some getting used to.
Planning to let them go one more week to get well rooted/established after the transplant before starting some LST and maybe topping, depending on their growth rate. Looking like
Some general shots of all 4, including Tuesday's pic after transplanting them for perspective...
Some close-up's of each:
JTR1 "The Twins", notice the smaller "runt" now peaking out, it's growing towards the light and bending it's stalk around to capture light, interesting that it did this with no training...
JTR2, coming along nicely, this was initially quite a bit smaller than JTR1 but I like the way this one is growing, it's developed two main stalks, like it was mainlined but naturally, noticed this one really take off once it was transplanted...
Here are PBK1/PBK2. First Indicas I've grown indoor since I started last year. Interested to see how differently (if at all) they grow indoor. I'd always grow some indicas for meds outdoor, but mostly stuck with big producing sativas like Blueberry (good short season producers). They're both doing great and almost head-to-head size wise...
Have a good week!
