This is a pick of my personal cab when I was using RDWC (recirculating deep water culture):

My custom cab RDWC before I modified it and made it ebb n flow:

This is my modified cab after taking out the top shelf and putting in a second filter, the other filter is on the outside on the back:

ebb n flow.jpg I know longer use my cab I donated it to a friend since I spend so much time on the coop.

Can't remember if this was my first grow in my ebb n flow but it is Hippy Headband and Elephant stomper:

Using rooter plugs has never slowed growing for me, like I said as soon as the seed pops (which you only put a 1/4 of an inch in the plug) above the plug I put the plug in hydroton and that is were the root will flourish. The hydroton takes in lots of oxygen so when feeding the plant with water in my ebb n flow plenty of oxygen gets to the roots and some people put an air stone in the res.

My bad I put the rapid rooter plug in rockwool with a layer of hydroton on the bottom. When I has using RDWC I put the rapid rooter plug in small basket of hydroton

There are different pheno's of psychosis so that one you see is just another pheno of psychosis.

for example when I grew out BLZ Bud I got 3 different pheno's and the third was the healthiest.

BLZ: Trainwreck x G13 x SilverHaze

Does this pheno look like what you have seen:

View attachment 3003696

Psychosis: 1990 Sensi NorthernLights #5 x Haze, the first pic looks more like northern lights and the second has a more haze look to it.
not sure where u get the heritage of psychosis........... it was passed on by the exodus collective in the 80 s but since it is a clone from one plant they are all always the same

Not true you can take several clones from the same plant and get different pheno's, since psychosis isn't an heirloom strain meaning a pure sativa or pure indica it will always have different pheno's. I was just writing what I researched about psychosis here is just one link http://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/Psychosis/Clone_Only_Strains/

I hope you don't think I am trying to start a heated debate with you because I am not, I love to research and if you could give me some information from a site I would love it, I am not above being proved wrong. I like everyone on this thread and enjoy sharing information because I know I don't know everything but I do know about getting different pheno's from cuttings from one plant I do it every run at the coop and we label each cutting strain name 1, strain name 2, strain name 3, etc and we always get different pheno's from the same plant unless it is a pure heirloom strain of course which we do not have unfortunately.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of information about psychosis but I would love to get my hands on it and the strain cheese which either is not here on the west coast.

mate I grow it, lol you google it. enuf said, believe what you like about different phenos of clone onlies but u would not find much agreement between your internet based theories and reality, best place to ask is the uk growers thread as many there grow her and know her

Its common knowledge that each generation of a clone is going to change pheno's. I am not making this up. Its like a mother having twins although they look alike they have distinct different traits from the mother or the father and with hybrids it is the same. Even though it is the same mother she has different genotypes from which she was bred from. for instance using two, three, four different strains to make a certain breed. Everytime we take cuttings from the same mother and clone them they are never identical and they never have the same taste or high because some have more of the original strain used in the breeding process to make that certain hybrid strain. We only keep the more stable, healthy plant and then make clones of it resulting in a better clone from that clone.

I'm not using theories I am talking from experience from cloning dozens of different strains.

well now I see where ur thinking is off.....twins are not clones

Clones will have the same geno type as the mother but not the same pheno type. If the mother is indica dom the geno will be indica dom but the pheno's may appear to have different characteristics from the environment, how much light they are getting, if the nutes are slightly different, etc. What you are thinking about is the geno not the pheno.

You may get a pheno that is taller or bushier but the genes will be the same i.e. indica dom or sativa dom but characteristics, meaning the look of the plant will be different. It is almost impossible to create the exact same environment for each grow due to airflow, temps, humidity, nutes, etc.

Maybe the twin analogy was not a good example.

So you can take a clone that has a better yield or you can take one that has a higher trichrome production, depending on if you are looking for quantity instead of quality or vice versa.

Breeders do this but on a much larger scale because they have to run hundreds of plants and then test each one for potency, smell, look, etc.

exo cheese, pyschosis, livers are the most well known clone-only strains in the UK they all date to the late 80s and they are all still around today and tasting and growing exactly the same because they are clones of the original plant i.e the same, i can personally say i first smoked exo cheese 16yrs ago and up until a few months ago had been growing her for near 4yrs and the exo i grew tasted n smelt exactly the same it had when i first smoked it many years ago.

Right, the genes will not change but the pheno will, meaning the characteristic of the plant, the way it looks. The genes will stay the same thus have the same attributes but not always the same look. Now with seeds you can get different geno types based on the crosses of strains.

man this got complicated and like I said i don't know everything. I did take a couple of college courses in horticulture to step up my game and that is where I learned about the geno and the pheno.

But anyway it doesn't matter as long as you are getting quality cannabis that you are happy with. hope I didn't make anyone upset that was not my intention by any means.

Well good I don't want anyone to get upset I mean this is what a thread is for right? Discussing differences and BS like music and movies. We are all passionate about growing or at least I think we all are so I enjoy a bit of a go around but not with any hardship towards anyone.
