Hey Guys I saw the Contest for this month was to show n00bs how to grow in a hydro set up, so I've made a Video over the last few days

I addressed the criteria for entry as follows:
  • Remember to include PPM and feeding schedules (be Specific).
    • all temps, humidity, EC, times etc are included
  • Pictures always help.
    • I thought if a picture is worth a thousand words, imagine what a Video would say!?
  • Be easy enough for a newbie to understand.
    • not only is it basic enough, but I've used a VERY easy to maintain system, and the whole thing is about doing it on a budget because the main thing that stops people from growing hydro is the start up price.
  • system should be for small growers (4-20 plants)
    • This is a system for 6 plants.
But the main reason I wanted to do it via video is so I could put a few gags in there and have a bit of a laugh!

Like EC for instance. I am a newb and had to look that up.

The EC (Electric Conductivity; mS cm-1) is an important measure of total solute concentration (salinity level) of the nutrient solution in the root environment. EC mainly influences plant functioning through its effect on plant water relations. High salinity in the root environment decreases the availability of water to the roots of the plant and therefore decreases water uptake and overall growth rate. The osmotic potential near the root, which depends on the nutrient concentration in the irrigation water, is used to control plant growth and development and fruit quality. In general practice, EC should be around 2 mS cm-1, depending on the production system, crop, crop status and the desired quality and yield of the fruit. EC values for typical nutrient solutions are shown in Tables 3 and 4

well yes I could have gone into it a bit deeper, but why would I when I can just say... "if the light says this number your ok"

although if I had said everything I wanted to it would have been an hour long or more.

The time-lapse growing video with the "King Of The Hill" music had me ruggin' rolling on the floor. That was classic. And I happen to find female British accents quite attractive, so Raven's narration was a pleasant addition. She has a very sexy voice. This vid definately has my vote.

Thats my fiance' we're actually Australian.... although theres no real difference other then we can play cricket and we don't get sun burnt watching FIRE WORKS or from the bulb in the fridge!
