Seems like I don't still know what I want yet...

From my observation I would be able to take about 20-40 cuttings from these plants in next 2 weeks.. so I should still have some time to think about it. I have not yet decided what am I going to do with these plants, whether I want to grow these 8 plants big or do I want to take cuttings from them.

I planted 28 seeds and 27 of them are going to be under 3000W.

As for what is going to happen with remaining 1000W, I'm in between two options:

a) I grow them big,
b) or take cuttings and do SOG.

Anyway I would like to be able to have them under the same light schedule and also harvest all plants at the same time too.

For that reason I need to do some thinking about this before I can decide for sure

Well they will keep growing while your thinking, so all good.

It is now 4 days after planting the seeds and all 28 of them have sprouted. Most of them have roots coming out from the bottom.

Is this the right time to transplant them into bigger cubes?

Can I put them under 600W MH? What should be the distance?

Based on the looks of you plant. It's the type that tends to stretch. Bring them in at 15 inches and top them a couple times in veg to create more branching. Use nets 2-3 levels and your ideal plant height should be 3.5-4 feet when growing under 1000 watts HPS lights. I would go 6-9 a light depending on veg time using 6 inch hugo blocks over a 4x4 space for each 1000 watts. 3.5 week veg time on MH bulbs for 9 a light should do the trick 9 being most ideal for max weight. I've experimented with 12-16 plant on a 3-4 week veg time and the yields drop. The reason why yields drop when you add more plants in a 4x4 space given that they are 3-4 feet tall is because you get way more leaf production in your canopy since you have more plants competing for that space. They also tend to stretch more too when you add too many. Having too many fan leaves in your 4x4 canopy space will cause too much shade and you will lose weight with the lower buds. 1000 watts will illuminate 3.5-4 ft of canopy space great. If you do SOG then go with more smaller plants but under 400-600 watts. I'm an experienced commercial grower. I pull 2.25 -2.5 pounds per 1000 watt of OG Kush using 9 a light. The key to pulling weight comes down to most important proper environment along with aCO2 sealed room with the proper AC and the right canopy structure over the proper space that has the right light intensity. All the claims of nutes that do this and that are BS for the most part if you don't have your basics down.

I used to run 18 plants under two 1000s. I thought things were just right. I could never get past that .75 grams per watt. Then one run I had a bad veg experience and in the end I only had 12 plants ready to flower so I said screw it let's see what happens. Not only did I yield far more than I did with 18 but I also had larger buds. I did veg an extra 12 days. But still I was vegging 18 plants for 30 days and getting around .65-.75 GPW. Now I veg 45 days and get between .90-1.10 GPW. For me 2 rows of 6 with 2 magnum XXXL hoods perfectly spaced above them and in 7 gallon pots is the way to go. everyone will find their happy spot.
