The only way to grow real bud is to grow in supersoil, use the entire AN lineup at full strength on top of that, defoliate atleast twice, and finish it up with a 2 week flush. Scientifically prooven to double yields in half the time. Thats what the real growers do. Just kidding Chuck, I need a new 600 hps bulb, anything new and exciting comin out? You cali boys seem to hear about the new stuff first. What was this thread about again?

yep i,m still laughing thats fucked up.

.
I saw a guy who defoliates his plants like this and pulls amazing yields still but he uses some special supplement that can only be found by extracting the correct dna sequence from the 27yr old bull semen located at the deepest point of your mothers snatch.

Are these any good as I know someone that brought one 3 years ago and haven't these been out for years, just don't hear may growers using them

Super soil lol
I have been reusing the same soil for the last year and my nutes cost about £15 a grow

Just want loads of buds, don't to pay anthing out for it lol

Only Change my bulbs once a year

There's a legit-looking report floating around claiming the double-ended lamps are superior....but then again, that report may be from the manufacturer of the same bulbs.

I asked my plants if they're happy with the combination of the 400w MH and the 600w HPS and all of the plants gave two-buds-up. I am a BIG fan of dual-spectrum lighting....and feel this mix is responsible for the dense buds I've been getting lately.

Instead of trying to increase the size of your lower bud sites why not lollipop your plants, cut off all the lower bud sites, and force the plant to focus on the higher bud sites more. Forget all this stupid internet voodoo crap. Maybe it works maybe it doesn't but you'd probably get the same result simply cutting off all lower branches so the plant can focus more of it's nutrients and energy into the buds that count. (bigger tops)

Mixed spectrum is ok but you should never let the mix overpower the red HPS. The red color is very important in some strains to get the maximum achieved results you want. Plants want you to simulate autumn which is that deep orange colored HPS light. Make sure you don't overpower it and confuse the plant into thinking it's July or worse yet April by having too much blue light. You will not get the same yield / growth however it may be a tad bit more potent. Possibly unnoticeable..

BOY. THOSE LOWER BRANCH NUGS SURE ARE SWOLLEN
That's a pic from day 31 of flower smartass.

Here's one from day 47

Day 50

Day 60

Pre chop on one plant

Day 65

Sure I could have left even more lower branches, but that's hardly what I would call "lollipopping".

It was also my first vert grow so yes, mistakes were made.

If you want to see real vert grows that use defoliation and have solid bud growth from top to bottom,go view any grows by Bobblehead,Mister D,and quite a few others on ICmag.

My buds however came out all dense,no larf.

Proof is in the pictures.

Come on everyone, let's jump on Lilroach's idea and blow it out of the water with no idea if it works or not! I've never tried that so it can't possibly work!! You don't need all that light, just a candle and some hormones will give the same results as you're getting now!! lol

That's how this forum thing works on new ideas isn't it?

On a more serious note though may I ask a couple of questions? Nice looking plant by the way! I'm open to new ideas and techniques, and believe they should be supported.

With your plants did you just add in the 400w MH lamp, or were you running 1000w in HPS before? What I'm trying to ask is did you run a 400w and 600w HPS before but just change the 400w to a MH bulb, or did you just have a 600w HPS on it's own before?

Also in your pictures you appear to have supplemental CFL lighting around the middle and lower plant, do you use that during flowering and if so what combination of blue/red do you use?

your plants are a PRIME example of what lollipopping is. Just like the guy said above, no lower branches, no lower buds, So your claim that vert produces big nugs on the lower branches is complete bullshit
