Where ??? Greeks and Romans knew nothing about race. Slaves were both black and white. The first clear evidence of racism occurred at the end of the 16th century with the start of the slave trade from Africa to Britain and to America.

i disagree that you can always tell someone's race simply by looking at them.. sure, this might apply to say black people, or asians, but even asians, all i might be able to tell you is they're asian, and wouldn't be able to narrow it down much more then that and not get specific like korean or chinese or japanese, or, or or..
same for say italians and irish, and surely both of those groups have experienced periods of racism even right here in the us of a..
