Keep in mind COBs are mini point sources, as are individual diodes, though not as focused
For conversation sake, I 'THINK' the perimeter lumens of a 10w COB would be less than the perimeter lumens of 4 @ 3w diodes.
Now that said, the adjacent cobs should make up for any lumen drop off
I have seen cobs placed inside ~ 2" parabolic reflectors (available in 90* and 110*); the combination could be a game changer
Each cob has its own heat sink. Heat sink size will depend on heat dissipation, which could affect overall panel size

Oh they'll veg alright. I'm guessing it'll be like a CMH bloom...ridic resin and diamond density.

Yup cant wait for my sg190s, 1 for a 2x2, 1 on a light rail for a 2x4, and i will be donating two for a larger grow, if they out perform our 600s, we will seriously be considering dumping the hid for the next next run.

I just sprouted seeds. At my IG is almost 2 feet away.. As they get bigger I will drop the distance.Hey hyroot, quick IG question...how far off the tops of seedlings do you keep your pro par 420s? i've got mine about 16-18 inches, too far ya think?

A family friend owns patents on designs on spinal implants. Apparently one of his patients was turned down for implants for having too much cadmium built up in his body from smoking cannabis... I'm sure glad I stopped using bottled nutes along time ago... Went vegan on the nutes.
