Why do ALL the LED grows look so lame compared to HID?

no you said seeds would be a better test. you say one thing. Then you are corrected . Then you agree with that person and say that's what you said. Like all the shit you talked on leds and saying how shitty they are. Now you say they work great ............
Hyroot, my friend, that is exactly what makes him a troll.
Pay no attention to him, give him no posts to feed upon, and soon enough he will be gone.

Your reading comprehension is bad, a guy that can only have 5 plants will rarely keep a mother, a guy that can have 30 plants will rarely plant a seed

It has nothing to do with my experience, you are 100% correct, identical clones are the true test of any component in your grow room but that is not what we were discussing at that time, he is going to be doing a small scale grow to simulate the scenario that a home grower that can only have a few plants would face, thats why I said seeds, not cali style where you can have 3 mothers in a mother room, a veg room, and several flower rooms for " personal ". On the same token since you are all about R&D you would know that if he wanted to do a true scientific test, he couldnt use the cuts from the plant he is using now, he knows exactly how they react under led and what he can do to push em, he doesnt have the same know how with that strain under hid. That goes back to my point about veg time, he knows he can veg those 6 plants for 6 weeks and fill a tent nicely with his rig, he cant veg those 6 plants for 6 weeks and flower them under a 1000 watt hps in a 4x4 tent, he will have huge plants with no air movement resulting in crazy high temps, pm, bugs, and the entire bottom 3/4 of the plant will just be stem, thats not what 1000's are for. I think cali guys forget how small a 4x4 tent really is. In my state 5 plants is a few months in county, 6 plants is 3+ years in prison, mothers arent an option, everything grown is flowered
First off I've grown on much larger scales yes. But I've also grown on small scales. Interested to see what this LED can do, for one for a current experiment I'm using 100% led for veg and flower rooms. Though even with other small setups for my personal I could run a 400W for flower, a 26W CFL for rooting and first few days(depending on what's going, 3-4days) after transplant, 5-7 days under a 125CFL, then 12-12 with a 400W HPS and get 6-8 ounces on average.Being in a small closet.

Just a couple examples of both smaller and larger since I'm new around here. I'm anxious to see what LED can bring instead of pessimistic.

I like how he didn't reference me at all and was just saying the truth in how clones are the right comparison to use, yet as soon as you got called on clones you bring me up and start attempting to belittle it. I have never run dream under LED's. I ran it for 3 years outdoors and 1 clone indoors under hps once. So if anything I have more know how with it under hps. But that was 4 years ago. So it basically a fresh strain to me indoors. And I have way more hps(1000 and 600) grows under my belt than led. I have been growing with hps for 8 and led for almost 4. Those years over lap a little.
At this point I really don't give a fuck about your whole veg thoughts. I will veg the plants till when they are ready like I said. The rough estimate was 6 weeks, and that was based on the BBK I just ran. I knew dream would be way bigger/faster than the BBK but it has shown to be even faster than thought. The clones are vegging up nicely and branching hard. I will veg them till they are ready regardless, but just a note that things can change based on needs.

Sucks to suck is all I have to say about your cali hating rant

^^^^^^. Thank you Skunky I've been saying that all this time.....

everyone else.

hps blows. Who would thing you could grow a plant using a street light of all things..lol Those are designed to light up an area not grow plants. Thats why they appear so orange.... Nothing like what the sun puts out.

see what I did I used the same logic against you pro hid guys.... That was good for laugh. .

Maybe you haven't seen the sun ever in your life. Here is a picture... https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2b/Model---Sun---Gasometer---Oberhausen---(Gentry).jpg
From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun

Here is a color wheel in case, you know, you have never seen one before. https://lh3.ggpht.com/-cmabPZ-jTLk/TbBRhB_YaFI/AAAAAAAAAEw/6bqfdHBFaoQ/s1600/ColorWheel1.jpg

What color is the sun? What color are HID's? YEAH! hyroot you make me lol man. I do enjoy that very much. Did you ever go to school? No offense, I am mentally retarded yet I know the sun is yellow-orange with some red in it.

As far as "street lights" they used to be MV (mercury vapor) back in the day as blue is much easier on the eyes and brighter. I'd go with pure white but I THINK that was just too expensive to mass produce. IDK man. I am mentally retarded as I said before.

you might get better quality bud (as with LED's you can put some UV-B into your room. HID's not so much :/ ) but I doubt you will get the same density... Just saying this on the record.

the sun may be yellow. The light it creates is white. If it was anything like hps. Everything would be under orange lighting. Go outside on a sunny day. Then go under an hps. Its a world of difference... Obviously you never seen an hps before.. Hps bulbs are not full spectrum.. The sun is...

plus it was a joke with a little bit of truth.. In the 70's some hippy stole a street light and tried to grow a plant and it sort of worked... Street lights use lps bulbs not hps.. .

leds don't put out UV-b. Induction and some t5's do though.

hyroot brother... LED's have UV-B specific lights... I don't use them and I know this... http://www.ledgrowlight-hydro.com/ledlights-blog/tag/ultraviolet/

Actually, read that site I linked.. they seem to go into detail on what you'd need in terms of LED's in your grow room.. I just book marked it as I want to experiment with led's, t5's and maybe a HPS.
Unfortunately that is marketing lies. They don't actually use UVB. They may have UVA but even those diode are very poor quality and are closer to a violet than UVA. Chinese crap with some good sounding marketing
In your link they explain what each is UVB, UVA, Blue, Red...bu then they say this...
"2% UVB Leds for resin and tric production. 380mn"

Which is actually UVA...SO you can see that this is a light to not be trusted. The only true UVB led's are ridiculously expensive to incorporate and do not have the right output. The best source for UVB is reptile/UVB specific florescent.

Ok, since you have experience with hid and seem to have a different opinion than me, how many plants (blue dream) would you put in a 4x4 tent under a 1000 watt light and how long would you veg them before flower? I would do 4 with 4 weeks or 9 with 2 weeks, or 1 and do a big scrog until its ready

Why in the fuck does THAT matter? That is not your side by side, and you are indirectly calling someone out like that. Who I the FCJ called your name for a reply again?

Not hatin on cali at all, put up the thread, would love to watch. 600 led vs 1000 hps with weekly updates. Put a calendar up and circle the days so noone can say its not a true comparison. Would be a great thread

I'll get it up when it is ready and the last one is done. Trimmed it up last night. I will weigh it out today. I have photo's of the whole veg process so far this next comparison run that will be posted when it is up. They went from rooted clones to 1gals on feb 10th, so today is day 7 veg. I started them under 1 at120AW(154w) and bumped it up to 2 of them(309w) on the 15th. Mark that date now if you want it's set in stone already since I don't need to lie. I don't know why you are so stuck on veg time. What ever it is I will show it. I don't say I veg for 4 when it's 6...if it's 6 I say that or if it's 4 I say that, and it doesn't after to me what it takes.
In a legal situation(which is all I care about) once the first run is vegged to size(what ever that may be) and is flowering, the next run should be getting ready. So what ever it takes won't matter because the whole goal is to time it to harvest then replace with the veg girls. So if you have to veg plants for 2 months(growers 1000's times better than you do) you have a whole flower cycle to over lap that, or just a couple weeks, growers choice.

If you look at all my threads and you would see that I do weekly video updates and pics. When I calculated my yields I account for every watt ran from veg through flower. And break it down to how much electricity it cost me to produce "X" amount of flowers. I don't hide shit and the last few runs have been a little disappointing, but I was also running hps and it wasn't great either...the g/w was less than the led. Also all documented already on here. They were begged and trained/different plant counts, so not for the argument here, but I have shown it all is my point. When it is up I will make sure to PM you with a link personally. Just watch and don't come in guns blazing...I will show and tell everything and if I miss something just kindly ask, I will be/have been open and honest about everything.

I am no stuck on veg time at all, I am stuck on 3 things combined, they are tent size, veg time, and plant count because those 3 things go hand in hand and all 3 are equal to each other. I know plenty of people who veg for 2 months, but none of them flower multiple plants under 1 light, they do it in open rooms under multiple bare bulbs. When are we planning on having this tread up? A week a month what? Id like to see it

You don't read a thing. Like I said, I will do what I want and don't give a fuck about you. Your ignorant and childish. I have been nothing but fair and kind dealings with you even though you have done nothing to deserve a decent response, and yet you keep trying to pick at things I am doing.
