These are all from one plant, a HSO Purple Trainwreck freebie from Attitude, 10 days into 12/12.

These I believe are female flowers

And these I believe are balls.

All from the same plant. Anyone want to weigh in?

Its a bummer yes, but I am overgrowing my flower space and the remaining girls will appreciate the room!;-)

got the same strains in my room. she is tall and skinny!! no herm here, but has she got stressed out at all....IE; light, heat, water fert? if there are only a few balls i would pick them off. it may be fine during flower and not make another ball ever..... its might also make tons of sacks and dump pollen every where. I used to see that in plants that got some type of stress in the life. do you have any pics of the full plant?

I counted 11 point leaves on my purple wreck

Thank you, sativa indica pits, Myles117 and STLbudz! I truly appreciate the feedback!:bigjoint:

I basically agree with y'all: its a shemale and needs to go! Far as stress-inducing events, the grow space has had consistent light and temps, and nothing that should stress her into hermi-ing. I think she's a dud, although I'm not yet ready to diss HSO. Still, a number of other strains are doing just fine under the exact same conditions, all are starting to send out pistils and stretching.

Pits, no I don;t have a shot of the full plant, but she was topped (UncleBen Style), yielded a few clones that are rooted and has been LST'd into a beautiful bush. S/he may have grown bette untopped in retrospect, but I veg plants til I can take 3 clones: The apical stem and the 2 lowest branches, while still leaving 4 or 6 main branches. Then LST em flat and veg another week before throwing em into 12/12. ITs worked great and always yields me at least 1 clone, typically 2 or 3. This'll be my first non-bagseed hermie though, and the first time I've had to kill a plant, other than a beautiful Old Time Moonshine X Purple Urkle that had to go mid-grow, just to stay within legal med plant counts when Montana changed its med law... for the worse!:cuss:

Fortunately like I said my flower space is overcrowded, and while I was looking forward to a solid, heavy-hitting purple strain like PTW, well she won't be all that missed as she's the least vigorous of my current grow... and now a hermie.

Good news is that her hermi-ing is basically just making my next job easier: choosing which one to cull. 7 minutes til lights out, so I'm off to yank her/him now! Adios, PTW, and thanks RIU!

I would imagine that most crosses or selfed seeds of trainwreck are very prone to end up hermie. The original strain, trainwreck, would throw "nanners".

Trainwreck is pretty famous for its tendency to herm. The upside is that when 'wreck herms a lot of the time the nanners are sterile, and the potency isn't really affected. If I were you I would just pick off the balls, but it's up to you if it's worth the risk.

Thanks Doods, I chopped her down right at lights out and we ate her leaves in a salad last night: diced cannabis leaves, a lime/ginger viniagrette, crushed walnuts and parmesan cheese. She's in organic soil so ain't nothing to worry about there, and my babe said the salad tasted like kale. Here in an Alaska winter, you'd be a fool to not eat the GREENS!:-P

Thanks to all who weighed in and best of luck on your grows!
