ph indoors and out. the way to adjust is water heavy.
From a 20+ year outdoor grower, I disagree about adjusting water ph when growing in soil. Leave ph adjusting of nutrient solutions to the hydro growers. Make sure your soil's ph is correct to start and leave out the ph adjusting chemicals from your water. Don't take my word for it, but research it. I bet if you Google "should you adjust nutrient solution ph for growing in soil" you'll get a ton of useful info on the matter and can make up your own mind.

I see alot of different answers to this question on this site. I'm not gonna use any of the ph up or down stuff. As a new grower(only 1 harvest with 2 plants under my belt) I decided to ph my nute mix to get an idea of whats its ph and if certain info relates to my grows. So far I would say that your correct. My soil ph is roughly 7.5 and nute mix is around 6. When I feed soil ph drops to 6.5, so the soil buffers the nute mix so that Lisa can feed properly. I am I correct in this logic?

Depending upon the amount of soil we are talking about, it would take a serious out of whack ph to throw the soil out of range during a single grow, or at least that's my experience.

I'm in 1gal pot of used ffof/35%perlite amended with 0-4-0 Happy Frog bat guano. I use ff liquid trio and just started molasses. I agree with you and the ph deal because i haven't had any issues so far. I will still monitor randomly until I'm more comfortable with growing indoors and outdoors. Thanks for the response and info.

my system air injection soil in 3 days go low around 4-4.5 ph but this is organic soil so i think thats why mine goes low.

Stretched her out some more and tops are starting to show. I needed to stretch her to get light to the mid level bud sites. Gonna feed later with 1 tsp Grow Big, 2tbs of Big Bloom, 2 tsp of Tiger Bloom, and 1tbs of molasses.

hey skinny, looking good man. i have never really stayed on top of ph that much, i know i should but i just dont. if i am correct, the molasses will lower your ph 1 point. i never mixed the molasses with my nute mix. i use rain water for my nute mix and tap water for the molasses, the tap water here in florida is just above 7.0 and with the molasses brought it down to about 6.

To be honest with you I never ph'ed outdoors with my first grow. The only problem I had was bud rot from dumbass leaving her in drizzle/rainy overcast for 11 straight days.

I've been ph'ing every feed and runoff. I have not found an issue yet. Soil is ph of 7, moist, 8 dry, 6.5 wet, water 7, nute/water/molasses 6.5. So I won't Ph unless I add something new to my regiment. The dry soil high Ph seems to be a buffer for the lower Ph nute mix.
So when I up my Tiger Bloom I might Ph again.

I decided to transplant Lisa to a 4 gal pot. In a rush to get the used ffof rdy I forgot to rinse the soil after adding perlite and Happy Frog 0-5-0 dry fert. So I watered her with no nutes, and will not nute again atleast a week to give her time to adjust. Besides that everything is going well( I'm still burning leaves on bulbs:wall:) lol not a big issue.

looks good skinny, raise the lights a little, i know everyone says keep them 1" away but i dont think it will hurt to give them a little more room instead of burning leaves.

I've been checking out some of the led stuff also. I like Captin Morgan's a19 grows thought about adding or using some to replace cfls just to see if it helps. Thats a good looking plant DC. Is that just 1 18watt led your using?

mostly yes. it goes 1 day with that par 38 18 watt 3000k (has 7 led bulbs) then 1 day 12 watt 1 watt diode quad spectrum led. i notice big growth when its under the 3000k more than the quad, but they still get a partial mix of each. all of my plants would look like this if i didnt have a messed up ph tester. but live and learn.
