Root Bound/ Root Prunning

Member
Ok guys my plant is root bound and i want to keep her in veg abit longer,
i also want to keep her this size more or less
so i figure root prunning and retransplanting into same 1gal pot will be the way togo.
My question is will Root Prunning also keep the plant this size almost like tricking and training her not to outgrow her pot and stunt growth.

You will have to repeat the process and keep it trimmed or trained.
But you can keep it up for years.

So i can root prune a reg plant i dont want a mother plant
i just need to prolong the veg cycle and keep her this size.
will root pruning keep her this size?
And does it affect the yeild in anyway?

Yes you can keep it that size with pruning
roots/foliage.

Small plants yield small but as long as the roots are healthy by the time you flower it wont be any different than a small plant that wasnt root pruned.

Expect @2 week recover time.
You can cut up to 1/2 the root system but no more than that.
Read some Bonsai links on google, That will help you out.
Less light will also slow the plant down some.

Good Luck on Your Grow

it was said above but bears repeating...to get the plant to stay small you need to prune the top growth as well as the roots. think about bending stems and tying them down also.

Get some "Bush Master" Humboldt makes it.
1-2 doses at 5ml gal. will stop your plant growing for a while.
I use it in Flower all the time to stop elongation.

IMO- that's the easiest way to keep a small plant or stop a plant from getting to much bigger.
