18mm slide stuck!

So as the title says my 18mm slide is stuck in my mobius ion redi. The glass is band new never used!
long story short somehow the slide got forced and now will not come out. Im reaching out for ideas...
its been in there for atleast 6month, i have tryed multi thing like soap/iso/wd-40/ heated it nothing works.
so im thinking of trying to break the slide up somehow..... Maybe a ingraver? Or maybe bring the slide glass
to almost a fux state and try pulling it out?

Did you try the freezer? Heating will cause expansion not contraction. Ideally, you want to try freezing the slide and heating whatever is around it...this is done effectively with automotive bearings/bushings. If this doesn't work...the best lubricant I'm aware of is silicone lubricant in a spray can. Hope this helps.

Get a can of this at an electronics store, warm up your piece with a hair dryer & spray this into your slide.
Now pull when it's good and cold (don't forget the gloves).
Be quick because temps will want to equalize quickly.



An alternative to the freeze spray would be a can of electronics "duster" that has 134a - and simply hold the can upside down (so you get liquid & not just gas) when you spray it.

Two people would be handy with this project.

I would go with the freezing thing, maybe try an ice cube on the inside and gently heat the outside

I came up with this answer also...
Just a can of computer air turned upside down and blown out will be minus 200 degrees... or something really cold...

Just make sure it has 134a in it - it is a haloalkane refrigerant.
