really boring post alert lol. just put down 11 dream beavers and 1 pura vida seed in the red pot.

in straight coco watered in with this line up

and some shots of some friends dream beaver grows

and a link to Gu's dream beaver test grow on ICmag. well worth a look IMO. i know Gu from the GGG forums where we are both testers and i have to say he makes every strain look exceptional.

something a little more fun. my sugartown's at 6 weeks

you can see the trainwreck influence..... it looks like someone drove a train through my grow space with the buds flopping all over the place.

sativa pheno still putting on more weight yet

my sour diesel smelling pheno

the chemical kush smelling pheno

and i like the smell of the sour diesel pheno so much i have already started a scrog with that clone

Those look so tasty aussie. Hope I get to do an indoor grow under some proper lights instead of just a few CFL some time in the near future.

Yo aussie where did you get that uzbeki x northern lights?, amazing grow for clfs man. Looks like train come through my buds too lol, 8 weeks and looking to harvest soon .

Fuck my Panamas are completely raped by those passion vine hopper assholes; there's literally hundreds all over the stems, I'll upload some pics tonight but the Malawi and Uzbeki are looking good.

actually it was my mistake it was Northern lights #5 x (Pure Kush x uzbeki hashplant) it was a limited release by 303 seeds. so there is less uzbeki in it than i thought. the pure kush x uzbeki hashplant was a bodhi cross. i think he lost his uzbeki hashplant father though which is a shame

I did my first grow ever last season and it was raped by those things until I started regular neem oil spraying. This year im growing it in the same place again with hardly any of those bugs, I think its because I mixed neem granules in the soil. it made a really big difference.

What's pure kush? Uzbeki is a pure kush ha. Northern lights #5 is the best one imo. Go with Cannabiogen Taskenti If you want a 98% uzbeki.

JTW,

I just read up on those granules that stops the eggs from surviving, I cant regularly spray with neem oil so it's ineffective.
I might just make up a potent concoction of insecticides, neem and garlic and spray once a week til gone
Panama3.jpgPanama2.jpg Nasty vine hoppers sucking the life out my Panamas, visible damage and needs to be dealt with quickly. stunted growth.
I've done a bit of research on the passion vine hoppers, there's so many in the Bay because of the kiwifruit orchards and 2013 was the 3rd warmest year in NZ so the bugs didn't properly die off.
Apparently they vine hoppers can reduce crops by 31%, I wonder if that's the same for Marijuana?.

Malawi just under 6 ft, 7 weeks veg and they're just showing their first hairs now. Very strange for a landrace sativa to be flowering this early.

Seem to be more resistant to bugs and no visible damage.

Panamas slowed down slightly from those vine hoppers but will be dealt with and should be back on track
[/IMG]

The plant on the right is a female. other 2 unconfirmed.

Here's the Uzbeki/Tashkent growing quite nicely and is about 5 days into flower give or take.
Seems to be more resistant to those hoppers too.

What do you guys reckon? I think a Uzbeki x Malawi is in order for next season ay?. both seem to be weather proof and above average bug resistance although vine hoppers are hard to keep away in BOP. They should acclimatise to this climate next year and there shouldn't be too many vine hoppers on them next season. Probably less flower time too.

hahahah yeah its funny because the uzbeki would be way closer to a pure kush than the pure kush ever will be lol. Pure Kush is just another OG like strain which are hybrids IMO. the pure kush has sweeter smells than OG though.

Aussie, Yeah the Uzbeki is apparently more powerful too.

Appreciate someone who knows their landraces. I don't like the OG kushes to be honest, the high is boring and narcotic. Afghans, paki's, and Uzbekis take the indica stone to a whole new level.
A deep landrace indica stone is as good as an African sativa high.

papered,

I don't think you would get much of a punishment, no criminal conviction usually if it's a small number of plants.

Dankdope - Try using the basic uploader? is it not letting you 'select files'?. or you could go advanced reply and use the attatchment uploader.

Still buzzing that the Malawis are flowering so early, They should definitely finish off properly.

lol i cant handle that landrace indica stone its actually too much for me. i dont like that effect. i prefer satty leaning hybrids right up to pure landrace sativas but i wont go a pure indica ever (unless i get sent them as testers obviously).

well I lost the top 4ft of my lovepotion it didn't survive the bloody wind damage, it has 7 or 8 lower branches that have bolted since I reckon they've grown a good 8-10 inches in the last 5 days. my 2 wwxbb are looking amazing theyre 6ft vert growth has slowed but are bushing up big time.
1stpic is of the wwxbb 2nd is whats left of the love potion

aussie, apparently the Uzbeki is different to the usual landrace indica high. I'm more of a purist lol, don't favour hybrids over any landrace although I'm growing cotton candy(lavender x power plant) which is more of a sativa leaning hybrids, I think you would like this strain - a powerful sativa high. Next run I'm doing 6 Uzbekis and 4 cotton candys under 1380 watts, don;t know weather to do a journal or not.

Dankdope

I reckon that LP will yield nicely, What's the BB again? about the same size as the Malawis. South island right? are any of you're plants flowering yet?.
my plants are slightly stunted from those vine hoppers.

Yeah that's low but as long as she doesn't get repeated abuse she'll be fine, hot as yesterday 27.5,27 today and you guys weren't to far behind either. It's been supreme weather up here bro, clear non stop sunny days. On the average year Tauranga always places in 1st,2nd or 3rd for most sunshine hours, the top of the south island get tonnes of sun too. If the Malawi grown in Nz can stack up to the original Malawian buds then it will be some of the strongest stuff ever, it's probably going to be the strongest stuff I've had in my life.

I reckon the Taskenti would be best for your climate, they can handle 3.7 degrees like it's nothing. If your plant isn't in flower yet it's safe to say it's sativa dominated.
I reckon just use potash, lots of potassium and phosphorus is good for finishing plants off but the nitrogen needs to be down to at least 3:1 ratio.
None of my plants are flowering yet and don't expect them to for another 2 weeks minimum, the taskenti will probably flower soon if not already.

Don't know if it has a name, probably just a bush strain acclimated to BOP - anyone from NZ or Tauranga ever had a pink haired strain that smells pungent and sweet? and is unmistakeable and unique. Kinda like a mayple syrup cinnamon with a pungent hash aroma is the best way to describe it lol. The other pheno just smells like you're typical NZ bush sativa.
Yea should be algood hasent been repeated abuse, just on and of. Looks like you've been having amazing weather up there I bet your plants are loving it! Its been avergae here over the last couple of days - Sunny cloudy on and of kinda stuff you know the drill lol Heading for 26 on Monday and Tuesday though so that will be great! Hope your Malawi's turn out great I reckon theyl be amazing smoke. That Taskenti sounds prefect for my climate then I might look into it. Yeah it must be sativa dominated becasue I expected some flowering by now but nothing yet. When I go up tomorrow im gonna have a real good look at it Id say it should be starting to now or really close to. With these next nice couple of days I wouldn't be surprised if it triggers it. Do you reckon I can use regular straight out of the fire place potash? So ultimately something higher in PK over N?

Real awesome how BOP has its on little strain bro, must be acclimatised good as. Odd how you Malawi has hairs do you reckon they could just be pre flowers? Sucks about those passion vine hoppers man, they look pretty badly infested. Better wip up a concoction of some sort and give them a good blast  Poor Panama being stunted. I can see what you mean it defiantly does look a bit stunted since the last pictures. The Malawi's must have adapted well to bugs also im loving those big thin sativa leaves. Great pictures I cant wait to see all yours flower!

I reckon you should grow a Dr Grinspoon up your way. Its a pure heirloom sativa and supposedly a old school sativa of the highest order. It grows tall and skinny and almost doesn't even look like a weed plant so that could potentially be stealthy! The buds look out of it as kinda like little bits of popcorn with a THC range of 18 - 25. Probably not very big yielding at all but I bet its potent as .It would do way better up your way than down here becasue of the really long flowering time of 95 - 100 days, check it out its by barneys farm I think. Some guy on you tube reckoned the buds were tiny but absolutely devastating lol Ill chuck some pictures of my plants up when I got up tomorrow.
