Ok so i am trying a different way of growing for the first time. I have 4 big bay windows in my room. And ive already germinated my seeds and have put them in the soil. I was just wondering if its possible to start them out in a pot with good fertilizer but there is other plants in the pot. I was also wondering if the way they are getting their sun will work? I plan on moving them as well, once they get a lil bit bigger. should i, and if yes where to> outside or continue inside with the bay window technique.

The issue with your window idea, is you are not going to get the proper amount of light to your plants. Secondly, growing in a pot with other plants, is ALWAYS a bad idea, due to the fact you are eventually going to have to separate the roots. Personally, I would choose whether you want to grow indoor or outdoor, and go from there. Research Indoor and outdoor grows, and make your decision from there.

Veggin plants need 18 hours of light...
So if the sun is "Out" for 13 hours you would also need to have a light on them for 5 hours...
So put the light on them for 18 hours...

that is not true, you can cycle your plants anything over 12 hours to keep them in vegetative state. the only downfall to giving less than 18, is well, exactly that, you're not getting 18 hours of light, so your plants growth will be slower than one at 18.

Not true - I have had male plants begin to flower with 16/8 lighting. It depends on the strain.

Hey brilliant, that's a male plant, their flower cycle is much different than a female plant.

Speaking of not being true......Cannabis begins to enter the flowering cycle at about the ratio of 14/10 Light/Dark depending on the strain. Anything less then 14 hours of light and they slowly begin to stretch and make hormonal changes.
