LMAO, a Mohawk... you know I usually check riu on my phone when I'm smoking the garage? I just laughed bong water back into my perc, and into my bowl piece - fucker. Hahathat ice T looking fooking awesome and to think it was a a twig with a Mohawk once
Special K, but i know what ya meant . And yeah that girl is growing like a boss - much more responsive in flower than of the others. The stretch is definitely in full effect. To think this was my bagseed. I'm lucky just to have it turn out as a female, the awesome growth is just icing the cake. I must of lived her just right during her teen months, lol. That special T is like a tree ....
Cant wait to see them with fat buds on
Lol I didn't drink it, it got pushed up through to percolator into my bowl piece cuz i laughed right when i was getting ready to hit itI was just going to say do you no there is a Special K I was looking at getting it but I decided against it.....
Dont think we are on about the same strain though .....!

P.s Stop drinking bong water it's not good for you man
Oh forgot to comment on the special k from the link.. That's good you sent me that cuz honestly I thought special k was simply a nickname for special kush. Two very different strains it appears.I was just going to say do you no there is a Special K I was looking at getting it but I decided against it.....

Lmao. Sad thing is you're probably rightView attachment 2972044
If your that thirsty my man this might have a better flavour than bong water lmao
If your wisdom speaks to your ability. You'll go far.a very ambitious first grow. hopefully it works out well. Steve is right about the stretch on them. Drop the light as low as you safely can- your runnin cfl's so you want them within inches since the usable light drops exponentially after that
about the heat concern, a few options that may or maynot help
I'm not sure what your setup looks like but i'd try a few things to warm it up, firstly make sure you run the lights at the coldest times- like mine sleep in the middle of the day when its the warmest outside and under light all night when its cold to use the radiant heat from the lights.
concrete is cold and hell and holds moisture, go buy a 4x8 foam insulation board at home depot or lowes (prolly 10-15$) and cut it in half and stack it under your tent to try and keep the freezing floor from affecting temp
put a space heater or two by your intake (a safe distance but close enough to heat the air)
then as stupid as it sounds i'd try to seal the garage a bit- go get a few cans of great stuff foam and caulk and fill any air leaks to the outdoors. if you have a heat source inside the garage and air movement you should eventually be able to get temps to rise a bit.
are you gonna flower under cfl's as well? cause if you are you'll need a TON of cfl's for the plants/space your using. if you grab a 600w hps or something you'll end up with a ton more light and also it would prolly all but fix your lack of heat issue- they put off alot of radiant heat during light periods- in a sealed garage it may be close to enough to maintain the warmth during dark periods as well
I'm by no means a pro or an authority on this hobby, so don't take my stuff as law- its just semi-educated guesses haha
good luck man- I'll be watching
I wonder if the Silica supplement was high in K? High K will be a contributing factor to your bud leaf problem. Most Silica's fall into the 0-0-3 to 0-0-4 range (there is a 0-0-0.5 out there -Botanicare) that can really effect yellowing in flower.Looking good man, nice setup and grow you have going. Subbed.
I also added silica on my last grow, be careful with it. I ended up doing some damage to one plant using to much of it. The bud leaves appeared to be disintegrating, it was weird, thought I had a pest at first. The silica will make the plants cell walls tougher and more resistant to pests which I am guessing you already know.
Here is a pic of the silica damage I had.

I saw that picture in your journal. That was from the silica? What dose were you giving and when in the plants life cycle did that happen? The posts resistance and cell walls, and reportedly more dense buds is precisely the reason I'm hoping use itLooking good man, nice setup and grow you have going. Subbed.

Wow,,,,this can have several answers. What npk ratio should I look for?
Thanks doc. I figured as neutral as possible would be most desirable, just so it has the smallest amount potential effects. Do you happen to know the recommended feeding for flower time? (ml/gal)Wow,,,,this can have several answers.
For your use......run the Botanicare silica as the very low K of 0.5 will keep your K level in check.
I cheat my P&K levels sometimes at particular times in flower (and particular strains) and to kick the K up in the 4-6 week range I use a "high" K silica instead of the low K other wise adding another product for the K......At 4-6 weeks! SAVE! This is a variable!
P&K overuse WILL cause "yellow" out! Be careful !! Indica's "run" Sativa's "walk" - "feed" Indica's, "maintain" Sativa's
Thanks Cascadian. I'll be sure to start off slowly with my girls.I added it at about 3 1/2 weeks, the plants were very dry when I added it so that may have contributed, pulling a full dose (can't remember the ml/gal) immediately into the plants system. The NPK is 0-0-3 (madfarmer) and I had added a 4-8-7 at about 1/2 dose at the same time. In plant problems a user had seen something similar before from silica, he had the only answer with conviction so had to assume it was likely the silica.
Thanks for the tip about throwing the K off using it, I hadn't thought about that possibly being the problem.
