Best Hash Making Method for my Buds/Trim

Sure first find a jar on the small side -smaller is easier to get pressure but the oil will expand so you want a jelly/jam size- I use one that came with a mason jar assorted canning & jelly set. Then drill a small hole in the lid for your suction cup to go onto...leave no burrs nice flush hole for a good seal.
You"ll need an electric heating pad like the kind you would put on a sore back(amazon $14)toss the cloth; just need the plastic heating mat-preheat 20 mins on high
After I blast into my pyrex, rough heat purge, & scrape it all still gooey onto my little silicone dish (parchment will do) then put it right into the jar & seal it up tight
You"ll need the suction cup attachment that comes with mityvac connected to the hose or build a pressure fitting, which i thought about doing at first but the cup works well actually- its better to keep the hose as short as possible to easier get pressure...then just pump it up. It only takes a min or 2 to get it up over -21 & begin muffin-ing
Mityvac will top out at around -25/-26 hg ... as you get it up to full vac wrap the heating pad around the jar set on high & use something to hold it-I slide it into an old musty box but you could just tie a rope or a belt or even a cool stretchy band with velcro.. try not to roll it too much but it shouldnt spill over real easy-
the muffin inside will then begin to expand....wait 30 mins or so & release pressure- muffin will deflate back to warm goo again. repeat this cycle until mellow oil -3-4x usually does the trick- takes maybe a couple hours or more to purge a g or 2
If planning to leave unchecked for longer than 30 min drop it down to medium heat but high seems to be ideal for getting it to waxing temp- sometimes leaving it under heat & vac for like an hour or so after mostly all of the tane has been purged (mellow oil) will get it to wax up nicely then I just unplug the heat pad and leave it to cool. It is usually wax or shatter or a combo of both at room temp. I never whip it or anything which is likely the reason for this but if im doing a lot I will fold it in on itself after each vac purge. The heat is the key -the vac just kind of helps it along & then just release the pressure periodically...thats it! ez breezy
 
I think the different vac assemblies that people come up with are fascinating. I see new ideas all the time. Sorry, but those that say bho, iso, etc. eat your brain have obviously never met the super innovative and intelligent producers of it... keeps doin' your thing all. I'll be studyin' until I feel comfortable enough to blast (knowing that I'll likely fuck up some good nugs and sacrifice a bucha trim haha) :bongsmilie:

Naw you won't lose nothing & could even make something good out of something you used to think was garbage (fan leaf trim)...keep on studying so you can join us and rot your brain on this wonderful tasting errrl
 
It depends on how much material you have, I've vac purged about 5g in my wide mouth, I'll get the jar dimension later today.
 
I'd like to say I'll be blasting around quarter pound or more or trim and possibly an ounce of buds. Looking forward to hearing those dimensions :blsmoke:
 
For sure it'll do the Oz of nugs cause it handled by 50g+ nug run. I feel like it should do the qp but if not there are half gallon mason jars.
 
So the one I use the most is literally 3" x 3"and I use that one most and handles a solid 2-3g if not more, I think it can handle probably 5-8g.

Then the one I use for big runs is 7"height and 3.5"width. I think itll hold what you require. Its good to have multiple sizes so you can do runs with the mason jar size you need. For example, when I do my 15-20g nug run on Sunday, I'll be using the 3"one.

I only do small runs - 2.5g was my largest pull so far but could do a bit more in my small jelly jar- think smuckers size but wide mouth- mine is 4" high by 2.5" dia

Bubble: A lot of work. Everything is better in small batches but easy to scale up with bubble. If done properly, the end result imo is the best high. Wax On: Making Solventless Hash the Nikka T Way | High Times

ISO: Easy to make and safer to make compared to bho. Seems better for small batches. Is what I've done with all my trim and corn so far.

BHO: Dangerous as fuck to make. Expensive to do it properly. Takes an artist to get that flavor right. I fucking love bho, esp nug run budder, prefer it to shatter, its pretty much my primary way of consuming.

I can honestly say I will never make ISO again. Don't know what I did wrong but I was left with a disgusting taste every time I smoked it.
An 8 bag bubble set is around 50$ while I could see the supplies for bho costing me around 100$.
Less quantity but the quality is there with bubble hash..
Can't seem to make up my mind... decision would be a lot easier to make if I had all the materials for making bho :joint:
 
I've been running qw since harvest about a month ago...

I just pulled my first super hard clear shatter doing it. Off some trim actually. When scraping it was all yellow powder that was impossible to press even with finger heat, Looked almost like coke only was totally dry no moisture. Put it on a pad in a dry crockpot to heat up, managed to turn it to taffy and kneed and flatten it out. It instantly hardened into pure glass, pretty sweet.


 
Dry sift is easy and quite efficient using my method.. check it out if you get a chance. Thanks, eh. Some nice pix in this thread.
