usually N def starts down low, and progresses on the fan leaves and goes upwards
so yeah i'd say give it N asap and you'll see that it stops progressing
old growth wont get better, but it won't get worse
big mistake a lot of people do is leave out N during flower, a good guideline i like to follow is a NPK ratio around 3-1-2. If you have soil with enough nitrogen, you won't need to supply it, but say you transplanted a month ago and you just give it bloom boosters, i'd definitely add the N and slow down on the PK
I don't use bloom boosters for my own reasons (simplicity) and i focus on giving the girl what she needs
with time i will learn how to push the flowering food, but I never make the mistake of cutting out the nitrogen~it's essential for the PK to do anything
