That is part of it. They try to force him to veto or try to force him not to veto, and always try to see through the layer of deception, and skating the law, at every turn. And that is to say nothing of the hidden court games where people can be quietly disappeared or accident-ed.

Doesn't need to be either. They could plausibly do it without consequence. It would probably be a one time thing though. The first President to do it, would be the last President to do it.

I'm sure you are right, they amended the constitution to prevent another FDR. It would get done after that guy left office.

I don't think the next president would push for the changes though. My own pardon power? I promise to use this for good and not evil, promise.
