Can you take indoor clones outside?

I have four clones that are about a two weeks old .... I have them under one light indoors for 18/6. Can I take them outside into natural daylight for a week and then bring them back indoors under lights for another few weeks for growing?

Dude be real careful the sun can kill them dead if you go from say, cfl to direct sunlight.....you want to introduce them to outside slowly....what kind of light are they under now and what season is it?

It's summer at the moment and it's just one hydro light indoors as they are still in four small pots I haven't potted them yet and are watering them with water ... in other words haven't put any nutrients in them yet .... thanks for the heads up ...

if I may throw my 2 cents in, taking them outside and bringing them back in isn't such a good idea. this is how you get bugs in an indoor grow. learned from my mistakes after sitting a plant outside for the sunlight. I transferred mites back to my tent, effectively ruining a whole crop.

Just like the other 2 said, be careful and slowly introduce it to the sun. Early morning is the best time and on a cloudy day if possible. Start with about 2-3 hours and see how they look. Repeat till they look good all day long.(bring in as needed to recover) Now once your plants are outside and you want to bring them back in be careful about bugs. As long as you treat the plant before you bring it back in you should be O.K. just make sure to treat it with some type of bug protection or as the last poster said mites could destroy your crop. There ya go watch for bugs and do it slow....especially if your "hydro light" is a cfl Iwould put them in the shade outside at first....good luck mang best wishes.

Hi. I'm from the uk so would never consider growing outside but I would steer very clear of putting them outside only to bring them back in again. The amount of mites, insects, bugs etc that can get on your plants is just not worth the risk. Not to mention that moving from a low power cfl to the direct sunlight could be too much for a young girl to deal with. Keep them under your cfl bro. Hope that helps.

I'm not knocking it. I just don't see the benefits of sticking them outside for a week, only to put them back inside. At the risk of all sorts.
