The only acceptable answer from him is if it is dirty/bloodstained and requesting replacement. He is not doing that and not in distress.
Flying a flag upside down is an international symbol that the people at the flag are under duress.. you seemed to think he meant to say distress.

Here is 4 USC §8 (a) verbatim. "In distress" is correct; "under duress" means something else.

He's not referring the the US flag code, it's not a big deal though
there are a number of people who fly the US flag upside down to signify they feel they are under duress, it's a well-known symbol. I realize the US flag code says it means something different, but that is not fin's intended message as you can tell by what he says in the video.

When I was a kid my mom bought me a shirt that said "Columbus didn't discover America, he invaded it." They made me turn it inside out one day. It's the only time my father called the school to give them holy hell. (he's white, mom's not). I quit saying the Pledge in 9th grade. I had read so much history that I loved the chance to share when a teacher tried to force me to say it. That led to them just leaving me alone because I offered my mom to come talk to them about it and they didn't want mom on the warpath in the school. I totally would have been expelled in this day and age. The late 80's and 90's were really something else for me.
