hey guys, starting up another grow and one of my seedlings has been giving me a bit of trouble, to start off
Lights: 400 watts of cfl 2700k(i know not ideal) always within an ~inch from plant

Nutes: Superthrive at 1/4 sp per gal foiliar fed and watered for 2-3 waterings stopping 2 waterings ago, fed with 11 drops of some 2-7-7 per half galon, which was half strength as i didnt want to give it any more nitrogen than i had to because it had some burn when it came up, but i wanted to add some root growth, anyway i think this might be the culprit.

Water: Well, tap ph'ed to 6.8 all the time using strips.

Other info: Temps stay between 72-77, fan blowing on the plant all the time, light on 24/0, fimmed yesterday roots covered up(taped up the container.), some local organic soil mixed with some perlite, Teaspoon of lime per 3 gals, teaspoon of epsom salts. anyway please help guys, im not freaking out but i do know theres something wrong here.WIN_20140107_060227.jpgWIN_20140107_060234.jpgWIN_20140107_060246.jpg

don't foliar spray super thrive, it's for the roots.

could be your problem.

yeah i know its for the roots but i figured since it was just hormones and b1 it might help where i topped but yeah you could be right, how much do the auxins effect the leaves of the plant, because ive sprayed b1 before foliar and had no problems, honestly superthrive was second choice, i usually get this b1 with micro nutes solution but couldnt find it over the winter

no idea sorry, i just know it is supposed to be administered to the roots and it can have negative effects on foliage.

less is more with that stuff anyway, you don't want to use it all the time. mixing a 200l butt you could put maybe 5-10ml in there, that is all you need really.

Thanks, yeah i heard that superthrive could cause stretching but not harm, i figured the stretching would be good for the nodes to get established after topping but you learn something everyday dont you! thanks for sotpping by man :)

hey guys,...

  • Superthrive at 1/4 sp per gal foiliar fed

Stop this leaf super thrive mumbo jumbo...
Add ST only in veg...only through watering...
Stop it a couple of weeks before flower, It has been stated that ST slows or prolongs flower...
Use ST in first 4-6 weeks of plant for root health and growth...
Make sure your pot has plenty of drain holes...
Adding ST to your leaves...
Then wondering if ST is making your leaves look funny...
Get IT? You solved your own issue....

its not superthrive because now its getting worse and i havent used superthrive in a while, the botttom leaves arent curled or canoeing, but the ones in the middle/top are and now are getting yellow all around the leaf edges

Too much water has caused the same problem on my plant, which curled up a lot more, like a canoe. It had enough, and I gave it more. Rookie mistake for me. And I'm a rookie.
