Well this damn winter storm made my power go out for about 50 minutes of my light cycle and the temp got down to only 61° will it be okay to just stay on schedule with light cycle or should I leave them on 24/0 for a couple days?

Same as above. Keep them on their normal routine and its all good. If this happened alot then things may get wacky, but one day isnt a big deal. (edit: I assumed this was in flower ;) )

Tis the one thing that worries me(well I do worry about other stuff) but Power outage sucks Big Time, the one variable with have NO control over>Bloody Power Companys & Weather! but I do keep thinking/looking into Solar Power and such, one day when Funds allow..might invest in Solar, or Back up Pwr supply like some peeps have got for the PC systems that they can't afford to go down...or maybe even a Generator? they noisy though...Spec in a Flat...LOL

Peace

Hope ya Ladies are OK

You can have unlimited power outages in Veg... There can not be, or will be any issue... in veg...
Now if you were in Bud.... I'd be 5% concerned... Veg zero .0000% worried....

solar technology isn't there yet. the problem is the storage of the power. you need battery banks that constantly need to be replaced depending on how often they are used. i have the worst power ever here in costa rica and we use a combination of UPS systems and generators on homes that we build. not economical on a grow room though unless you have money to piss away. lol. the problem is you can't just do 1 or the other; you have to do both. generators need time to cycle on; usually 1-2 minutes. therefore your lights will go out and then wait before they hot start again. and if you get voltage drops often it will mess up your bulbs and ballasts. that's what the UPS systems are for. they condition your power as well as providing un-interrupted power. problem is that if you leave stuff running on them for longer periods of time the batteries get drained and you constantly have to change them. so the best way to do it is have your blower run through a UPS system to a transfer bypass switch which is connected to a generator. that way during power outages you run on battery till the generator has time to cycle up. on a smaller grow you could probably get away with an APC system per ballast.

Good point, Im not sure why I assumed he was in flower.

I used to be on pins and needles when my power would go out when I was running rDWC, but then again youre ok as long as its not for more than a day (other factors obviously in play).
