What is the most Cost/Benefit grow?

How do you get the most per watt?
How do you get the most per H2O?
How do you get the most per nutrient?
How do you get the most per growing style: is it hydro, soil, or aero?

Combine all the total costs, room size, plant amount, and what is the most affordable way to grow?
Assuming any size can be truncated to whatever is your states max, but start big.

sun and earth is the most cost effective.

The only other way to determine the variables you listed is to get your own hands dirty and put in work.

Good Luck and maybe read through some of the stickies, especially in the Newbie section

I dont think there are definitive answers to those questions. There are different growers who maximize results with all the mediums and nutrients/styles of growing. It is like asking a baseball player which bat hits the ball the farthest or a runner which shoes run the fastest, the tools are only preferences because the results come from the years of personal experience.

Here's the answer to all four questions:

1) experience
2) experience
3) experience
4) experience

Well then what's up with the dinosaur ?

And learn how to give rep in code

Good Luck
Luck... that and some more luck...

I really doubt that will get done

Outdoors is the obvious answer. But if we are talking indoors - depends how much money you got to spend on the setup is going to determine how little it will cost in the process. If you can afford real grow LEDs, a nice aeroponic setup in a well ventilated space fully automated and monitored environment control etc etc.. you can have a practically self-propelled grow with little energy bill. Of course the initial investment is considerable. I spent $15K setting up my new grow space. Most of us start with small closet grows and move up from there. And of course experience, and experienced grower can do more with less than a newbie with twice the resources.

I've been trying to research a ton of stuff lately on this site but the search bar keeps screwing up...I guess they have "been working" on it for months....

I am unable to search for words or phrases in titles, therefore it makes it hard to search....I actually have ended up mostly researching at other weed sites now....though I will post a new thread here for questions.

go to google, type what you are searching for, then add after it in the google search bar site:rollitup.org and it will only search your keyword within this sitem

In over 40 years of growing I've blown a fortune on grows, looking back all I had to do is buy 5 acres in Hawaii, and visit my little canna ranch 2 times a year for the best canna in the states, .....lol you need experience, thats the cost

LOL. I grew outside for about 2 decades, and just started indoor early last year. I've spent well over $2,500 on random stuff just for my own R&D fun, but now I know definitely what works best for me. If I had to set up a grow for a friend, I could pinpoint down exactly what they need without wasting any money whatsoever.

This is rocket science for you folks. Costs per unit is a direct correlation: $.01/KWh is the same as $.25/KWh (any expense applies): Apply your own #'s multiply by efficiency (Growth averages)..

Doooood! That is so Profound!

Cost per unit being a direct correlation and all that! $.01 now equals $0.25!

Apply your own #'s multiply by efficiency!

This is like a real "out west" wild rodeo where I can just apply my own numbers for efficiency?

OK so my own number that I really like is 9 (like a 6 but upside down, try doing that with a digit like an eight) and my efficiency is 1.42, and my direct correlation cost is 0.07 so I get 182.57?

Hell just rounding that down to 182.5, and I'm still in the game.

Suhweeeeet!

MODS I think you can delete the entire website now cause we finally got it figured out it is simple rocket science with an energy correlation and a personal multiplier factor.
