Who knows the dankest strains for outdoor grow in humid subtropical climate?

I'm in the climate region of Piedmont area (northern ga/sc) and from my research it seems to be similar to many of the Cali climates that are "perfect". So my question is: is this areas' climate going to easily support any outdoor grow or do I need to carefully pick genetics that will work here...
