Your first grow...

My first grow was a long time ago..
I spent nothing and yielded even less.
How thing's have changed. I knew nothing and am not ashamed to admit it.
Now I don't even count how much I spend each year on grow supplies.
Because I know it's all coming back in the fall.

My first...lol...I didn't know a stinkin thing. Planted some seeds outside. I hauled water to those everyday. Kept the weeds away. They were looking nice. Had no clue what I was doing. The plants got about 2 feet tall. Next time I checked something had eaten them. There wasn't a clean cut at the stem looked like it had been chewed and there were cattle around. Had just used bagseed so wasn't out any money.

First grow was in the 70's. We had no clue..knew nothing about flowering and light requirements...etc. We watched em grow..and finally about mid-summer cut em and GAG..smoked em...

First indoor grow...1990 with the dreaded florescents. 6 or 7 shop lights..4 on top..a few on the sides. Plants were bagseed...grew very viney/lankey...I now know was from a LACK OF LIGHT (ah..floros are SO good for that kind growin!).

Had 10 plants...got 22 ounces of fluff bud that was good enough to sell and buy a REAL light... (a 1000)...and now...well..I run like 8K of mixed HID in 2 rooms!

If I were doing it over I'd buy the $250 HID from the start. I woulda had 3X the haul on that first grow had I been a bit smarter on that decision and had blown off the floros completely. In the end..it's STILL the same amount of work..so I know now that the ONLY WAY TO GO is to buy the proper light from the get-go and skip the fuckin around stage.

good luck
