young plant into flowering, 9 days no pistils?

So i put a small plant, about 3 nodes in age into flowering. its been 9 full days now and still no sex visible. Could this be because the plant is so young? It looks like the very top is starting to flower. Since the plant is so young, could it be that only the growing tip will flower?

thnks +rep for good answers

Way too young and small to start flowering IMO. But, most plants won't show sex that immediately either. Give it another good 5-10 days to see something, 9 days is nothing.

If the others are showing just hang tight. I think most people veg for at least 10wks tho.
The younger the plant the longer your flowering time not to mention decrease in yield so...
