i bought one ,but when i squish my shade leaf to test,i cant get a drop of juice to put on the lense,maybey i need higher humidity?

I wonder if you could take a small piece of the leaf and grind it up
a little to get the juice out.
I was thinking the same thing. "How much sap to you have to have?"

the instructions say a drop,i tried rubbing some wetness on the lense but it wasnt enough,when you do get a drop on the lense your supposed to look through the eye piece and you see this lines with #s besides the lines and thats how you know how much sugar is in the leaf.

Test 6-12 hours after watering, and try squeezing the leaf petiole as it should have more easily accessible plant fluid.

Edit : also this is great for measuring potential plant health with cannabis, though useless foe determining ripeness. That function is judged using refractometers a lot in commercial fruit production.
