I am currently looking for a good fan for my 48ft^3 tent. Of course they range wildly in price. My question is:

1. What is the quietest fan I can buy regardless of price?
2. What is the crappiest fan that should be avoided at all costs?
3. What is a good moderately priced fan?

Isn't a light a heat source? yes it is and 48 cubic ft isn't that big. I'm not sure about what the best fan is for a small tent, but i just installed a new bathroom vent fan that pushes over 100cfm and is only "1 sone loud" its super quiet

Well if fans are rated in cubic feet per minute then I think it would be important to know the volume of the enclosure in cubic feet. What do you use? And I am using a 400W MH right now.

Buy a 200cfm vortex fan.

i dont think this is true, its been studied and results showed no difference but i cant site my source, its been a while.

I think of it like this, they dont use muscles like us so why would they get stronger by working them out?

Haha youre funny! It looks like khm didnt have any problems with my question. Should have included light info though. But seriously how do you measure your rooms to know what size fan you need?

meh, I've never read the science. I could very well be wrong. All I'm going off of is experience. I've had some skinny, weak plants that had to be staked up from the get-go when I had no fan, and then later I've had a setup where a fan was going constantly. Those stems were like pencils. Could be something else...dunno. If anything, the air movement is good for them. It makes them happy, from what I can tell, and we all like happy plants.

I have an oscillating fan and one of those home depot air circulator fans in there now and I love them. The thing is that with no dedicated exhaust and that air circulating fan doesnt really pull in much new air.
