I recently got a really unlucky batch of seeds from herbies, since two out of seven germinated. Originally I thought it was one out of seven seeds germinated. So I was 4 days after presoaking for a day, then placing into growing medium for sprouting. This seed didn't pop, the other one had popped already and so had the three bag seed I planted. I was really depressed at this point that I was only going to have one top quality strain, and three unknowns.
After I had gotten over it and decided "Well this could of been worse. I could of not gotten a single seed of the high qualities to sprout." Then I decided to see if I buried the white widow too deep, and I go into the soil looking for a sprout. After a short period of time digging around the 5 gallon pot, I find what looks like a dirt covered seed. I put it between my fingers carefully looking for white sprout. Seeing it without a sprout after four days made me lose hope of this seed sprouting. I ended up giving it the crush test, and it broke.
Now here's where things get funny, I was really stoned while doing this. It turns out when I originally planted it, I planted it way away from the center. Which turned out to be for the best.
Two days ago, I went to check on all my babies. When I got into the tent, and started looking around through the pots I noticed a small green stem popping up through the dirt. Which was strange since a friend of mine gave me a couple big bud seeds since he felt bad for me, he said they were pretty good and would give me high yields to make up for what I lost. Although they weren't feminized, one day prior I had soaked them and planted one in that same pot thinking no seed was in there. Upon realising the stem, I knew it was the white widow or northern lights. Like I said I was really stoned, and am not really sure which it is. This thing has some vigorous growth going on, and by the look of it is going to be a super female. However I'm not going to kill the big bud reg that is also sprouting, and would like to know when I can transfer the white widow safely. I was thinking at the end of this week, but am really unsure about transplanting. :
P.S. This is my first grow.
P.S.S Look really close and you can see the big bud beginning to sprout slightly to the north-east of the big sprout.
