This topic has been covered in this thread. The last one was posted in 2023 where somebody was claiming "it will never happen, unconstitutional".
Well, finally, the next to the last step has been made on the long road toward implementing Oregon Measure 114, a sensible, constitutionally valid measure that will save lives. Because that's the point. Saving lives. I don't know what the opponents think they are doing, but this measure was written to prevent unnecessary death and injury from firearms.
Three bills that would alter Oregon’s gun laws are advancing to the floor of both legislative chambers.

The article discusses legislation introduced in the Oregon legislature that would fund and clarify the law. Of course, naysayers in the legislature still say the measure is unconstitutional but he Oregon Court of Appeals ruled that the voter-approved Measure 114
does not violate the state constitution. If one reads what the measure says and will do once it's finally in force, no valid gun owner will be deprived of their right to a gun whether it be for hunting, sport shooting or their irrational belief they need to have the comfort provided by a warm gun in their pocket "for self defense".
But it won't end here. The last paragraph says why:
Two Harney County gun owners have said they plan to appeal the ruling to the Oregon Supreme Court.
So, OK, lets do this. The NRA will appeal, using these two people as their proxy and they will get their day in the Oregon Supreme Court. People's lives are worth the time, money and effort.
