Yellowing papery leaves for newbie

I know you guys in here have probably answered this question a million times, but I desperately need your help,

I purchased this plant off a friend who sworn it was female, and a White Widow.. when he delivered it to me at my place it was in a very small pot and the plant was very stretched (about 15 inches tall from pot to last tip and held up by support splint), he told me he had been using regular light bulb for lighting and also did not know what light cycle to keep the plant.

It also had drenched soil with what i can only assume was straight tap water,

I inches bought a larger plastic pot (its says 32cm) for it and greatly improved lighting (600w HPS), and repotted it and started it on basic veg lighting cycle to bulk up this scrawny little thing.

that was just over a week ago, it no longer needs a splint for support as I have sunk it around 3 inches into its new pot and have a 16 inch fan blowing fresh air over it every time the light is on,

Now i have new leaf development, and what looks like pre flower (little hairs from between the nodes).

I'm getting what can only be described as the leaves turning see through and into a yellow paper effect.

I'll try to include some photos to describe better:(sorry about the image quality its the only camera I have)

Check for bugs. I had this same problem last year, identical looking damage. I never did determine the cause for sure but I'm certain it was insect related. Check your plant all over for ANY signs of insects and kill anything you find. Let us know what you come up with for more specific advice. Another cause though could be fungus which is more serious and less easily fixed. Best of luck though and post your findings,

Cheers

I had homed her intothe cupboard under my stairs, which previously was full of junk! I had cleaned thoroughly hoovered, repainted everything, but tonight i did find a lady-bug type beetle settling on one leaf, i removed the plant and all my seedlings and completely re hoovered the entire area!

Theres new lush growth now due to what I believe is the plant settlign into its new pot and the increased lumens.. the new growth no longer has this, but does have slight yellowing on the inner (veins) of each leaf, I think I may have the light too close! but the hand comfort test is very comfortable, but I just raised it up higher about 4 inchs more!

I have fed her on half dilute messure of miracle-grow, and hope that will perk things up!

I aim to make this my main mother plant, she will get buchier and more compact , and as i have said this is my first ever grow so Im just learning! I paid $90 for this plant, I know its not cheap but i trusted him and really just wanted to get the bal rolling and learning and growing!!

I have germinated over 20 bag seeds this past weekend to, so I am taking alot on but i just find this so fascinating I cant stop thinking about them I check on them like 10 times a day :)

Check your ph of water and soil. Go easy on the miracle grow until it starts to look happy. Don't over water let her dry out a little between feedings.
