ok so i know that every plant goes thru the yellowing phase during flower due to nitrogen consumption. my question is when(what week ) should they start to yellow out? i give them nitrogen through out the whole phase of flower but it seems to be yellowing out earlier then usual. could it be the breed? i am growing the c99 from seed and she has been in flower since sept 29. that was the flip date not the show date.that was about 7-10 days later so say the 8-9th so c99 002.jpgc99 005.jpgthat would make it say 20-22 days into flower.. the breeder calls for 55 days for flower. should she be yellowing out this early? ph is usually at 5.8 and ppms are at the 1200 stage. using gh nutes and kool bloom 0.10.10. with a cali/mag during feedings. using 5 gal bucket with air stones. also got a few indica's in there too. got 10 clones beside the monster bush.. with a minimal yellowing on the very bottom leaf. any help full suggestions will no go uncredited..bongsmilie thanks gang.. i will post some better pics tonite. i added a magnetic 400 watter in with my 1000 wtt digital and the pics are very obvious.c99 001.jpg

Agree - think it's the 'breed' that's causing the diff you're seeing. Soldier on my friend - looking good.

Your buds seem to be well on their way. If you were feeding them N for awhile longer after flipping them they wont go too early. I learned to keep feeding mine veg nutes the first few weeks of flowering and mine dont die off near as soon now. Beyond that, the further along into flowering mine go, the less I worry about what the leaves are doing. By the very end I usually have little more than some of what I call "bud blades" left for leaves.
Looks good man

thanks for that.. this is a new one to my room and its a 80/20 sativa indica ..i usually only run mostly indica's so not used to the super fast flowering plant.. but man it sure smells sweat...if any one has a midway pic of the c99 in flower i would greatly appreciate it..

First of all, I gotta tell you NICE JOB!!! Beautiful set up! That being said, I don't see any sign of yellowing. Generally when a plant goes into senescence, the lower leaves will yellow and start dying off. Genetics will dictate exactly when that happens. As long as any yellowing starts in the lower leaves and not in the upper part of the plant, I wouldn't worry. You're girls look healthy and happy. What ever it is you are doing, KEEP DOING IT!!!

i was feeding them the full schedule of nutes until a few days ago but the yellowing was starting before this so i guess i am on que for them to die off. with all the tops they should be using a lot more N than usual so die off is normal at this point..man this a fast one too.. they won't B.S. when they said 55 days to finish..i will do a full breed and smoke report when finished..but i just might make it a staple in my room as long as the smoke and high is good because it is a super fast plant..

^^^^you too... it really never bothered me until i ran this breed.. most sativa's will stay full and green until the last 3-4 weeks of a 12-14 week flower period. and indica's will start the last 3 weeks when i start to do my pre flush with a calimag rinse and thn back with half nutes then finally the last week and a half just water and sweetener .. but this one is not half way through and its starting to get some yellowing.. the pic tonight will explain more.. the only thing different is less grow and nitro and mostly kool bloom.. the good thing is none of the main bud leaves are yellow.

its probably the breed,im currently using a strain that starts yellowing after 2 weeks, when the others stay healthy green till 7th week!yet i get a bigger yield from the earlier yellowing plant

Have you grown C99 out before? I'm looking for another cultivar to go with my Sannies Jack. Gotta be a mostly Sat high with a decent body stone I'm seriously looking at Killing Fields, however C99 and Northern Lights are still contenders. Northern Lights I know, C99 I know nothing,

good thread, just finishing a cross of my own whose leaves did the early color loss
thought it was mostly genetics, this thread gives me some peace of mind
