Turn the resolution quality down on your camera. That'll help. ANYWAYS.....I have grown with CFL's forever....and it's really hard to achieve LIGHT BURN with them. They have to be like within an inch and decent size water droplets. CFL photons do not dispurse in a linear pattern like HPS lights do. Making it very difficult to focus the light.I'll take all the help i can get right now i got 3 100 watt cfl's 1 6500k and 2 5000k and a floru grow light i know i need alot more lights well really i need alot of stuff but really i just started off with miracle grow moisture control potting soil i got 2 bagseed plants that are about 2 months old and 3 chrystal sprouts and another seed a just got from a bag of smokin stuff...but 1 of the chrystal sprouts just stopped growing shortly after it broke the surface...i would give pictures but it says they're to big and i need to re size them and not really sure how to do that...
IF your CFL's are actually 100w, the you have enough light. HOWEVER> it is my feeling that you have 100W equivelent.I'll take all the help i can get right now i got 3 100 watt cfl's 1 6500k and 2 5000k and a floru grow light i know i need alot more ...
If it's the 125 actual watt then the difference would likely be lumen output and maybe they designed the spectrum to be more ideal for growing.yea they're 27 0r 26 actual watts with the equivalent to a 100 watt...do you know the difference between the cfl's i got and a 125 watt cfl from the hydro store? pic are on the way hopefully
appreciate it sgt. sly anymore advice will be much appreciated
However you do it, i would go with the cheapest option. Ultimately i'd get a 400-600 HPS.i had a couple of idea's for my setup i just dont know which one would yeild the best... havin 2 actual 125 watt cfl at the top and 2 cfl's like i got now on each side or just go and get a bunch of cfl's like i got now and put 10 on top and 6 on each side with homemade reflectors like you were talking about...
Ya but you want it to be like dry like half way down. It's ok and very good for the soil to dry out almost completely. MJ will bounce back from a drought much faster than over watering. PLUS it's easy to get a feel, just let em go without water till you see the first sign of wilting, then totally saturate the soil.....it'll be perky in an hour.i water them usually every 2 days if the soil is sarting to dry out at the top...someone told me to think of it as a cactus instead of watering a little every day water good every 2-3 days...
It's never too early for 18/6 light cycle. With an hps though ventilation and cost is an issue but ultimately thats the goal but cfl's are more cost friendly right now...i already got my lights on a pully system to make things easier... do you know if its better to just have all 1 color light for the cycle they're in or do you think a good ratio like 2-1 or 3-1 would work better? do you think its to early to put the bagseed plant on an 18/6 or should i let em get taller they're about 8 inch and about 2 months old and my chrystal is about a month and a week and its about 4-5 inch
