YEA i Think I Messed Up!

So i germinated some new seeds and one finally poped up. It was growin Sideways so i tried helpin it out and i accidentally ripped off one of the two small round leaves. I thought it was done for so i just walked away cuz i was mad. this all happend about fourish in the morning. i went to sleep and woke up around 11:30 AM. when i came back to see if it died i was amazed to discover that it had grown two jagged leaves in it's place. my noob Question is, "is this a bad thing?"
