Y'all were right

I did what I was told like a good NB .I left my plant alone stopped worrying so much . Only watered and keeped check on temp and RH . No VPD calculations. No nutes. Not even Cal mag . No post every two seconds wondering why my plant hasn't magically turned into a huge bush over night. Shit I don't even stress about run off test anymore. Big apology for my frustration and impatience as I'm new and super eager to learn and grow fantastic bud. Below are updated pics at day 50 since sprout . Or as some of u like to say day 50 of "Veg" . I think I'm doing decent now that I've backed off lmk what u guys think.

Looking good! You ever looked into low stress training?

She’s very bunched up atm and if it were me I’d spread the bottom branches out with some U shaped pegs.

GL!
I did pull the main branch down with a shoelace two weeks ago. But took it off to show the main stem more . And I was thinking about doing more LST . Just don't have the supplies at the moment and wasn't sure if I need the it the branches lengthen out a little more or if I could just go for it . I'll probably find some more wire and do what u suggested.thankyou!

Consider cleaning out the bottom to let air in.
I've been letting some lower funk go over this last week's just not to educated on how much is to much so I've been slow at I and a little hesitant to chop off more. How much do u think I can cut off.and are we talking whole beaches or just apical buds? I've heard never to remove fan leaves in veg unless dying or molded

Over Christmas I was away for 80 hours. Monitored via app and made changes as needed. No tent peeking no re arranging no plant rotation.
Best numbers this grow.
Best growth this grow.
Worst feeling cause obviously my children no longer need me.

I didn't realize rotating the plant too much could disturb growth rate.. As to not disturbing, I feel like the best I can do is only open when I need to water or mist the top layer ( I always like to keep the top layer moist to keep the microbiome alive) plus being new to this it's so ridiculous difficult to not Eye F@&k the shit out of it . I'm sure once I get more time under my belt I have more automated systems in place. Plus ill be over the novelty of growing for the first time .

They grow up so fast. Lol
I wish my 4 grew as quick as my plants do. I could have save myself so much in college tuition. But thank goodness that BS is over now.

They tend to get acclimated to the place their in with PPFD and air circulation patterns. If you want more flexibility with rotation, get some oscillating fans and over size your lighting needs. Little by little my guy. Add some new gear monthly/bi-monthly, and after 1 or 2 years time your setup like a pro.

I actually have a pretty good setup in the tent it is my lung room basement that gives me grief. Overnight temps at 62 and low RH makes opening the tent pretty much a reset.
Right now with no one but me home I am jacking up the heat so I can pull em for training. Been a while and with the hight I had to turn down the fans in the lights to slow the movement. This morning looks like a race party with plants bouncing off each other and the walls

I have 3 plants in there and am running out of room. I was hoping to flip to veg for a bit before the last cull leaving me with 2 but I am running out of room for 3 plants.

After training 2 plants will be 6- inches out of the pot footprint but only in one direction. I could move them around but for a while vdp will be 2.0 for prolly 15- 20 minutes. The 3rd plant was topped and is still a bit squat and is just out of the footprint.
Anyways if I do not hit 70 in basement I am going to run the plants upstairs and maintain them in comfort.

The best way to keep the microbes alive and happy and the top layer wet is to use some sort of mulch layer. I use rice hulls. Bark works, old dry leaves work, old shredded stems work too. It doesn’t have to be expensive.
Anything that reduces and/or blocks the rate of evaporation from the "topsoil" region!!! I've used damn near everything "recycle- able"

As counter productive as the temp variant and RH seems with night and day, it is more effective in expressing true traits, almost mimics mother nature. But the 8-13 day transition to bloom, id certainly aim for 68F as a low. You could push 40% RH abient passive even at 60F and fine out the difference in fan speed. Night will always rise in RH, even if by 15%, that's still more than the transpiration phase.

As far as the day cycle, well, me N what I do is humidify both, lung and room/tent. Keep the jittery bouncing variation to a minimum. Cycles may run shorter/ longer (depending on season) with ventilating but maintain a more narrow drift and staying on target.

If your working with what ya got, find that happy medium. Just adjust PPFD and/Or EC. Or plain water a couple rounds.

It gets sad too when I realize they can do most of it by themselves . I

This last week I really found a comfort in my set up and how it works best . I use a cheaper humidifier with the indicator lights covered up. I placed it inside the tent . It's winter so I usually keep lung room at 70 with a space heater right outside of the tent and with lights on in the tent it's always a steady 80-82 . I always keep the humidifier on and the heaters flips on when my lights do . The outside air is dryer and cooler .so I mist carefully around the plant in the tent whenever I need to to water ect this prevents drops in humidity whenever the tent is opened ..humidity stays steady between 53-57% and never really fluctuates . When lights are off the lung room stays 70 . But the heater gets turned off at this point and this brings tent temp down to 68 on the dot . Took a lot of playing around but I rarely have any bad number since I've figured my lil system out .

Hey man, I just finished my first grow at the end of december.
I had to set myself up to keep it KISS, as my modus operandi is to overthink and work everything. I gave myself grace as a newb, and reminded myself that this is my first grow, that I need to get my legs set in the ground before I start adding pressure to maximize yield and quality of my end product.

I just started the germination for my second grow. I am trying to not change too many things with this run, to gradually build up my experience by repeating most of my variables, and adding two or three new things/techniques. I could do what I am inclined to do, and change my soil, everything about my simple nute routine, how I germinate, ect. I am fighting that urge. I am also trying to fight the urge to overplan for my spring garden.

Of all the options that this hobby/craft/science can present I have opted to only change my germination method, how early I intent to start feeding nutrients, using the same or a similar organic 4/4/4, and training clips. Oh, and the big one, my genetics.

It's exciting to watch them grow.
After I ordered my seeds I kept checking the tracking status as if it would speed things up.
I planted my seeds in my hydrated jiffy pucks, made sure that the electric blanket was warm and not too hot, and said goodnight to my darlings for about....3 hours.... gotta make sure that RH is good and that the temps are in that goldilocks zone....but the checking has never really stopped.

It takes work to not overparent something your'e invested in. To remember that they will do what they do on their timescale.

in conclusion, its you're own fault for reading this post. Its on a forum of cannabis enthusiasts. Did you think they would not rattle on?

No bother for me! I enjoy hearing about people's story and perspective. And currently in KISS mode.
But yeah I still have to remind myself to step back alot of the time . It gets easier though . Im starting to see how resilient the plant trurely is .

I find myself guilty of this far more often than not. Get a few dabs in me and I start rambling lol. Man, I love this plant!

Hell yeah! Once you find that groove and build the confidence, you stop second guessing things. I remember those days of constantly peeping in on the grow. Like they've grown or done something extraordinary in the last hour.
It's taken me years to get to my current place and mind set and when I am home, sadly isn't often, but when I am, 5-6 days have passed and I can really see significant changes. I've got 20 yrs under my belt and I still get a confidence boost. It's hard to just let go for almost a week at a time, sitting in my hotel room and thinking, shit what if this happens... or damn mabey I should have done x y and z before I left. Once I get back home tho, all that anxiety was all for nothing. Plants look perfect.

I will say this tho, I do consider myself fortunate to have the space that I can run a 4x8 fabric bed. I am fortunate to have a automated system and automated on demand water purification and pressurized storage tanks that supply the blumat pump system. If I didn't have that, there's no way in hell I could pull off any kind of grow being gone for more than a couple days.

I've been itching to get my nutrient dosers back up and running. I really miss my DTW days. I'm making some moves at work and waiting to see if my request is granted. I've only got 3 more years and I can retire. Pulling back out the 4x8 flood tables and going balls deep!

What's hilarious is right before I just read this I started overthinking bout my heater lmaoooo . Stop reading my mind guys it's creepy lol .
